*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Seem to have a problem with my abs or something. having a #2 earlier and got some cramp, wasn't even straining!, to the lower right of my bulbous belly.
The last time I had it was a few weeks ago when doing some atlas stone lifting!

Got deads tonight, so should be interesting!
 
If training for strength then rest as long as you need tbh. nothing wrong with long rest periods as long as you arent getting cold :)
 
120kg log clean and press. BOOM!

****ing well happy with tonight's session, been feeling all day like I'd get 120kg and it happened. I'll put a full session write up in my log later. Yes! :D

It tears my hands apart more than deads, crazy bars in hands lol.

Yeah I need to do more one motions, try and get more than 100. It's more explosive though, so would also just help me all round if I can get them working right!
 
Just randomly watching The Wright Stuff and Faye Tozer is on, she is still stunningly gorgeous! Lovely eye candy :)
 
And yes I know my deads/squats are not as good but then again I don't really care as I do not enjoy them as much as bench pressing.

want to enjoy your bench more? Do deadlifts and upper back work.
You want a bigger back and you'll bench will be better.

Want a bigger back to help your bench? Squat.
 
Oddly that used to happen in the call centre that I used to work in too. Some very weird people in Wales.
 
talking of great deadlifts.

how about this from Terry Hollands last night, he's changed his training and lifestyle a lot recently then goes and makes 400kg look silly easy..

 
Loaded the 150kg atlas stone for first time yesterday. 160 was close but just couldn't do it :(

Morba I assume you do atlas stones with the assistance of 'tack'.

That is the hardest stuff to get off ever.

Yeah tacky up most of the time. sometimes do lighter stones tackyless.
Yesterday I was taping up my arms also to save them a little bit as it was a full 3 hours of stones so would have been ruined!

It is a ***** to get off! We use white spirit, then soap, then spirit again, then soap, then wash it all off, dry, chalk, spirit, soap.
Very messy annoying stuff lol.
 
Routine I'm doing is pretty much this

Tricep extensions 2x8

Deadlifts 1x5
Weighted pullups 2x6
Bicep curls 2x8

Anything majorly wrong with it? I'm also thinking of thinking of doing a three day split very soon.

Chest/tris (bench day)
rest
Back/Bis (Deadlift day)
rest
Shoulders/legs (Squat and OHP day)
rest
rest

Any thought on that?

If I only had 2 days to train i would do:

Day1
Squats
Chins
Push press

Day2
Deads
Dips

No messing about, do those and do them hard. Simple :)
