Cheers dude. Had a look on the website a few days ago but couldn't find any in store today.

Will go to another store tomorrow but I need 36-38" waist and the only pair that got past my thighs were regular 44" waist :(

I'm in 36" waist myself although put some weight on over last few weeks so bit of a squeeze at the moment! Just measured my thighs and top out at 28" inches at thickest part but still manage to get into the jeans without looking like a skinny fit!

Next have an easy return policy and deliver for free to the store the next day, just try them there and then and return if they don't fit.

Certainly finding squats and general wotkout easier now. The squat and deadlift program for nearly 4 months, combined with cooler temps, nowhere near as out of breath as I was. Breathing in (now that I can control this better) and bracing my core has really helped increase the weight that I can lift.

I've heard people talk about american eagle jeans being good, I believe they are like a stretchy material - can't say from experience as my legs fit into skinny jeans easily :(

Signed off by my physio for weights. Though I'd already started messing about with super low stuff about two weeks ago.

This week I've essentially picked things up at 1/2 of my old working weight. Even then my shoulder tires very quickly but it has been awesome to feel that I've got DOMS rather than my shoulder just complaining about basic stuff like "taking off my tshirt".

Great success!

I wear Levi's 511s. Latest pair I have are a stretchier material. Makes me look swole, yet extremely comfortable.

Yeah the 511's are good unless you have comedy sized quads (not just 'he lifts' quads) and have that all-important taper (because straight leg and boot cut = dad jeans). Levis have another cut that's specifically the 'athletic' one but I can't remember the number and I'm not sure if they sell it here in the UK.

Diesel have a few cuts like the Belther that fit pretty well in my experience too although while tapered they're not as slim as the 511s - the denim is thicker though.

Generally if you lift and you're buying a pair of jeans where you don't want to end up having to get something in a waist size far too big for you just to get them over your legs, you need something that's supposed to be a regular fit (ideally with a taper or 'carrot cut' for style points) to get the slim-fit look or a relaxed fit for a regular fit. Stretchier denim can make all the difference too.

Loose fit from Jack Jones. They used to do a pair called Anti-fit that were immense...

Jack Jones anti fit jeans are where it's at, have bought them for 3 years now, hell, bought the exact same type 3 times running.

I have large thighs and my calves are bigger than most from years of climbing. JJ anti fit are the only jeans i've found which feel like a loose fit but don't look baggy in the mirror. I'd go so far as to say they are designed in a fashion that almost looks like a slim fit.

They sometimes stock the Levis athletic fit one in outlets but there is a reason they're stocked in outlets as they're horrific and look like dad jeans.

I basically get slim jeans with stretch from Uniqlo these days as regardless of what they are I get a crotch blowout withing 6-8 months so it's just not worth paying £££ for top quality denim anymore :/

I gave up wearing jeans day to day a few years ago, these days I'm all about the cargo pants unless I need to look vaguely smart then I have a couple of pairs of Next loose fit jeans stashed away.

Anyone here have young kids (i.e. < 1?) I have a 3 week old who like all newborns likes to wake every 2 hours. I've found my strength quite diminished since having less sleep / a poorer quality of sleep, wondering what others did to help mitigate this? Or is the answer 'try and find time for a nap'? :)

Definitely nap if you can find the time.

My sleep is pretty bad at times and when it gets really rough I'll normally have a half hour nap at my desk at lunch time, feel much better afterwards.

This guy knows it. I wear a hole in the crotch of most jeans within 6 months. However I think the whole "large quads" argument is largely guys with an interest in fitness creating problems for themselves. I'm larger than most, 100kg, and wear 34" waist 32" leg Levi's 511s. If I can fit in these, I don't understand how most are struggling.

Back when I trained... I could get 34" waist jeans on and done up, now granted it wasn't comfortable but I had around 30" quads and there wasn't a hint of the jeans not even getting over them.
My squat booty on the other hand.

Trying to find a top that fitted a 34" waist and a near 50" chest without looking like a fat man tent on the other hand. Now that was a real challenge considering the standard drop between the 2 is usually around 6" I think.
