Yesterday I hit a big mile stone.... I lost have my body weight (14stone) :D Well chuffed :D Had my DEXA scan in October and was 204.6lbs at 20% body fat and as of today I'm 196lbs. Have my next DEXA in December so I'm hoping to close in on that 15% BF before starting to bulk.

My wrist still seems to be in poor condition to do any heavy dumbbell work 5 months on, really cheesed off to be fair as I'm too young to be falling to bits :p

What's wrong with it? I hurt my wrist in rugby, tried to protect by not doing certain exercises and using straps a lot but the pain never properly went away. In the end just had to take 2 weeks off, now it feels fine.

Awesome work! How's your skin coping out of interest? I underwent a tummy tuck a month ago myself after a 10 stone weight loss.

Well I've already had ample time off as this happened all the way back in June and not really sure what's wrong with it. Had an x-ray after about 6 weeks as it wasn't healing which apparently found nothing out of place. When I went back to the GP again I was sent to a physio who said, "you've probably tweaked a muscle, keep taking it easy". They are not willing to do any further tests as it's not affecting me outside of the gym or sports but NHS was bound to run out of money at some point ;)

On a bright side it's good enough to restart squats and deadlifts along with most "pull" action exercises.

Thanks mate and well done on your loss that's crazy good! How are you post op? How long can you not train for? Anything you can/can't do?

My skin is holding up ok at the moment mate, it's a little loose but I'm surprised by it currently to be honest. Not sure if you have it or even care to look but I put up a picture on IG yesterday @ThorTheGiant I'd be interested on hearing what you think about my skin based on your experience mate.

Checked out your Instagram, seriously impressed, well done mate.

I've sent you a trust message and there's also some info in this thread if you're interested https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18749383 - The opening post and posts from 18th October onwards are the relevant ones really.

Any questions feel free to ask!

Based on what I've seen on your Instragram you're probably at the same levels of fat that I was when I was at my lightest, that's when I started chasing numbers on the barbell rather than numbers on the scale - I feel I look better for it weighing in at 15.5 stone now rather than high 13's.

Unfortunately it appears you're in the same situation I was too though with regards to loose skin on your stomach, no matter how hard I worked my tummy was always going to overhang the waistband on my underwear/trousers.

Went to my first gym today as opposed to working out in my home gym. Firstly eurgh, all these people getting in the way! But my real question is - does everyone look stupid doing DB Shoulder Press or is it just me?!

I enjoyed it though - one guy (wearing gloves and with the worlds tiniest calves) did quite a thorough warm up and then quarter repped some 27.5kg DB seated press. Then moved onto some kind of cheat curl / alpine skier tbing

I did enjoy the pulleys though for the tricep pump

You go to the same gym as Steedie!?

Anyway yes no one looks pretty lifting weights.

You've obviously not seen 50 types of bicep curl guy who comes into my office gym every now and again. Having seen him regularly and worked out at various mornings and evenings, I'm certain his routine consists of warming up on the treadmill, then proceeding to smash out some screaming 20-25kg t bar curlz, throwing the barbell to the floor between sets, then 2-3 other variants with bits of chat to some of the other regulars he seems to know, playing on his phone, and not putting his kit away afterwards. If we had a power rack I bet he'd live inside the thing.

Well the lad types are everywhere which I don't mind as it keeps them off the power racks ;)

My gym's clientele has changed massively over the past year. All the guys who were serious about body building and strength are gone and all it seems are there now are bro lifters and complete newbies. You do have to laugh at the guys who bench 100+ then need 2.5 plates under their heels to squat 100 to about 20 degrees. :p
