Yeah if you're drinking 10 - 12 cups of coffee a day, then your caffeine resistance has built up. Slowly cut your intake down til you cut it out completely, then try to drink coffee when you need a pick me up. Start alternating decaf with regular.

Makes a huge difference to your caffeine tolerance, in a good way.
 
Well GVT has been ticked off. Somewhere along the way I've picked up tennis elbow in my left arm which has bugged me for 2 weeks now.

Any advice on how to alleviate this and whether to keep going on the weights or if it's better to lay off a bit until it's recovered?

Pain is your body's way of telling you something you are doing (or did) isn't working for it.

Take a break for a couple of weeks and work on your shoulder mobility.

Yep I reckon you're right - dammit I thought I had good flexibility in my shoulders but if anything the left is less mobile and I tend to get more tightness there.

Will follow your advice and look for some good shoulder mobility drills.
 
James Richardson? It is a pretty random intro but he's been doing WSM for years, not sure why he isn't commentating as he's very good. Danny Wallace on the other hand is completely clueless about the sport and seems to be there just to make sarcastic comments about everyone.

Edit: Really liked the look of Licis last night, very strong and looked far more experienced than his age would suggest.
 
James Richardson, that's him. Always liked his commentating but his bits on this year's coverage are just uncomfortable trash. I don't mind Danny Wallace to be honest, Colin Bryce gives you some proper commentary at least.

Licis is looking great, remember seeing him in one of the qualifiers last year and thinking he was one to watch. Good performer and a great character.
 
Positive physio session. Impingement rather than muscle tear. He looked at both my shrug form and deadlift form and said there was no problem with either. He did comment on why I am shrugging such heavy weight, but then also commented on the usefulness of strong traps :D. I can get back to deadlifting, but in theory 80% max for the next two weeks. He also showed me some stretches that will help and cracked the region of my back to loosen the joint (ouch!).
