*** The 2017 Gym Rats Thread ***

Think I'll deload the next session or two, a weekend of poor sleep has left me under recovered.

Asides from that it was a good weekend, squats are climbing back up, hit a 250 single on Sunday. The issue is still dealing with the pressure and confidence under the bar.

I'm slowly starting to get used to these 5-530am training days. It's not easy though, and definitely not as effective but... when I get home. I'm freeee. And I'll be home soon.

I tried it for about a week a couple of years ago at the local Pure gym, I couldn't deal with the level of pretty vest boys even at that time of the morning :o

Problem with training late for me is that I'm buzzing for hours afterwards. And I have to get up at 630am at the latest anyway to get to work. By the time I get home (7pm), then going to gym and so on means that dinner is not till 830pm or so, and then I'm wired till 11+ even if I've had a relaxing shower.

See I don't get that issue, dinner at 7pm or so, gym just after half 8 then in bed by 10 fully knackered.

I'm tired - but my body is in "fight" mode (as in fight or flight) so the adrenaline, cortisol and other hormones are raging through me. After a hot shower and an hour of reading I'm okay, but that means bed post 11pm and it's just a little tough with my early start!

I get up at 0605 so I know all too well what it's like. I'm really lazy, I get home, have a shake then lay on my bed and watch Netflix. I usually not off and then next thing I know my alarm going off. Yeah, pretty disgusting I know!

I don't think I would trust myself with heavy weights until at least 10am but I do have the problem right now of having to go later than I would like. Normally done around 10pm and body is buzzing for a fair few hours until I can fall asleep.

I always train at 5.30am it's hard at first but much better than evenings for me due to my work I always felt tired in evening plus loads of egoheads.

I am enjoying leg day lately, start of with weighted squats+weighted jumping squats+weighted lunges all in a superset no rest which is working great I recommend it.

Add chair sits, Bulgarian split squats, glute bridges and moving squats sideways.(don't know name of this but its tough if done right)
