Bit of a variation to go for an Intel option which you can probably overclock a bit further and I've included a TV card, performance should be very similar at stock though. :)

Thanks, very appreciated. I can't have a TV card though unfortunately as I have no aerial sockets in my room nor do indoor aerials work very well so where should I put that £50 instead?? RAM? Another HDD?

Will you be using it for gaming at all or purely for playing videos and/or Hi-Def? If it is for fairly simply video and audio then I'd probably go with a larger/second hard drive, if Hi-Def then an extra 2gb of Ram might be helpful as might a dedicated video card.

Gaming will be minimal probably. Football Manager 2008 which does require quite a bit of RAM and maybe WoW if I ever went back to it.

Mostly will be watching video's, listening to music. Music it will be used for 70% of time, is the sound card decent enough?

Should I go for another 2gb OCUK RAM then do you think?

The soundcard is better than mine so I'd expect it to be more than sufficient.

4gb Ram does sound like a good plan to me, the OcUK PC6400 4gb kit would be better than buying as 4x1gb, neater and you could still buy more if needed. If you've still got any spare cash at this point then you could buy a faster CPU, an E2200 would be the next option up.

I've chose the E2200 now :)

Still quite under budget but not sure what else I should upgrade or if I should. Next thing on my mind is another 19" TFT but maybe should wait.

Look alright?

Looks good, although:

People hate Creative, and with good reason. I'd replace the X-Fi with an Asus Xonar.

Not sure if 4Gb is really necessary for an HTPC, but it's cheap anyway. :)
