Well a simple request for starters, a home screen of some kind. It's just boring being sent straight into the application menu (time and time again).
More freedom when it comes to settings and controlling various parts of the phone.
Building in Google Navigation would be nice, although it's probably not going to happen and it's a big ask.
Something of a notification tray (like Android), that means you don't have to rely on pop ups and it would allow you to monitor things like email/twitter/facebook and so forth more easily.
It looks like they
may have sorted out multi-tasking, but it was incredibly vague so I'll have to wait until the review units are doing the rounds.
I noticed the vast majority of apps are things like, Paypal, simplified websites and games. There aren't many that allow you to adjust how the phone works, like custom launchers and things that can impact on the user interface more (could be part of the home screen improvements they may add in future).
You may well disagree with my points and say that Android is over complicated and you don't want the "hassle", but I think there would be a way either Apple or Google can -
- Simplifly Android so it would appeal more to people who the simple style of the iPhone
- Add more options to the iPhone as I have suggested, so it would appeal to people who want more freedom from the phone
It's hard to judge it based on the information given so far, so I will be looking forward to the reviews.

It would be a safe bet to assume it will be a great phone, but you've effectively decided before even seeing most of it's features
Anyway, time will tell. When it comes to mobile phones I will simply buy what it best for me, and at the moment that is Android by a country mile, as soon as that changes, I'd happily get an iPhone, I might get one anyway
I wonder if they do any deals with iPads, buy both and get one half price? No? Thought not
