Its a long shot but does anyone know if an American Iphone will work over here? Im going to be going to America in August and I imagine its going to be a bit cheaper over there.

Yeah it is a strange one, i know the cheaper price tags include some form of contract with AT&T. I was hoping there would be a completely contract free version which is just locked to a network, similar to how we have it over here. However looking at the 3GS that doesnt seem to be the case

Wonder if they will still be offering £198 when my contract runs out in August. Could be a nice little lump sum if O2 don't upgrade me for free - which they better if they don't want my custom going elsewhere!
