*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I work there :p Internal message. My manager just told me.

Quick question mate, do you know if they'll do seperate contracts for it yet? or they'll just use their flext plans? :)

Currently on flext 40. Be damn handy if I can just request an early handset upgrade and pay a bit extra :p

Can you do this via email? I'd rather just get the code instead of being hounded by retentions?

I'd write them a letter instead of emailing.

FYI: If you ask for the PAC code over the phone, then just be firm and tell them straight (that you are leaving) and it should be painless*

*3 were the worst for this. I spent 15 minutes arguing with a guy who was intent on stopping me from leaving.

Why do people like T-mobile so much ? I dont get any reception WHATSOEVER on my bold(workphone) at my house and im hardly in the sticks :p

who is the best for data down south then, ive noticed o2 dont seem the best

No idea yet mate, although flext has been discontinued since February, so it's likely you'd have to change anyway as I suspect that unless you have A LOT of upgrade discount, you'll have to change your plan to get it for free.

It'll probably be the same story as with the rest of the carriers and there'll be seperate tariffs for them, but we haven't been told anything else yet.

Vodafone and Orange do not work in my house. O2 works downstairs in my house but not upstairs (what?!). T-Mobile works upstairs and most of downstairs. I just tend to find them the most reliable around where I live.

Provided you get a signal with them, I think T-Mobile are the best all round. O2 are worth a look too but tend to be more pricey.

I hate Vodafone :p

Fair play, cheers dude. If you are allowed can you post as/when you know? I'm very interested :)

Maybe they've changed their mind?

I have to say the white model is really starting to appeal now. I've always thought the previous white models looked a bit tacky, as they only had a white back, but the white iPhone 4 does look rather nice.

Not that the black doesn't look great, but I might have to go for the 32Gb white this time around. Either way I'm certainly going to be getting one, my 16Gb 3G is showing it's age now and I really need more storage space. It is a pity there's not going to be a 64Gb version yet, but still we can't have everything.

hey guy what will be price for iphone 4 16gb pay as u go, i dont like contracts

as steve said it will be the same price as 3gs 450 pounds or much more?

as they is now jail i want buy it, we need jail

Whats the deal with contracts then gents. I'm weighing this up against the Desire. £25pm, free phone unlimited texts unlimited internet is easy attainable with the Desire even as a new customer, let alone through retentions when I upgrade. Can I get 500texts++ unlimited web, free phone for say £35 pm?
Of course we don't know for sure yet, but what were the launch 3GS deals like?

Contracts haven't been announced yet, and this time they'll probably differ somewhat between providers.

But I'm paying £35 a month for my 3GS, and the cost of the phone with this was around £180. Think it's pretty safe to say you won't get the phone for free at that monthly cost.

You won't get the phone for free on a £35pm tarriff, not a chance in hell. You need to be on at least the £50pm tarriffs before you get a free phone, however the £35pm tarrif on O2 has unlimited data and unlimited texts (as do they ll).

I'd be suprised in the iPhone 4 tarrifs and cost are much different from the current 3GS offerings and costs.

guys can you get insurance for the iphone 4 if I get it sim free?

Not sure If I want to get tied into a contract as I only top up 10pm and get unlimited net and txt from o2 and I never use 10 quid on phone calls so £10 topup last me well over a month
