*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Watchdog covered this recently I think. I assume it is the external indicators that are red? They said the smallest of things set them off such as sweat. Obviously your internal ones are not but I assume you void the warranty if you open it up? Cheeky beggars

Yeah the one in the headphone jack is red, can't actually find the one in the dock port.. Maybe that one is still white.

Where are these meters ? where can i see them :)

In the headphone jack, dock port and one internally. You will need a torch to see them :)

Actually, looking on eBay, 16GB 3G (not s) are going for about £250ish.. Even with cracks on the back casing. Will just put it on there I think :)

So were saying its a bad idea to take your iphone into the bathroom when your having a shower like i allways do in the morning :p

02 is crap where i am, can't even on the accounts page when i had the O2 sim in my iPad in the centre of town, but it was fine in my house ??

It's Orange for me I am afraid.

Hope you don't mind if I ask this here as 3g talk is going on

I've never really followed iPhones as in who can use them (network)

Currently I'm on a virgin media contract 18month.
Would I be able to buy a new or used 3gs pay as you go then use that with my sim? Or won't it work

As long as it has been unlocked, it will work fine.

If you're buying second hand, some will already be unlocked (mine is for example).

If you buy one new, you will need to get the network to unlock it. O2 will do this for £15 if you buy it PAYG.

Those that are looking to change networks, how have you gone about checking that your new network has a better signal?

Is what your after?

Edit: This is a map of 3G coverage.

Wow! Definitely tempted to get an iPhone on Orange after seeing that. Although the 750MB fair usage limit seems a little low.

Does anybody know what they're currently using per month and how active are you on Facebook/Twitter/Youtube etc?

Many thanks, whats the first network? Do you have any more info on certain places etc?

Only trouble ive got really is that ive got full reception(O2) and 3G where I am living at the mo, but I moving into a flat soon and when I was last at the flat the signal seemed to be quite up and down(and the flat isnt finished yet)

Not much 3G around here, so don't often use Youtube, but I do check Facebook and Twitter often when out and about. Also got push turned on for everything, including e-mail, which am pretty sure uses the data network while the phone is in sleep. Usage reckons I've used a massive 595MB since July last year.

Wow! Thanks for that. So 750MB a month isn't going to be that much a problem. Unless I start downloading videos, which I can't really see myself doing all that often.

Those maps are two years old - each networks web site should have coverage maps.

O2 and Orange are more or less the same.

The first map is Three I think.
