They aren't losing market share at the top end of the market which is where they compete mostly as far as I know.
Isn't the flash memory (NAND?) they use a lot faster than MicroSD cards?
Well last I check they lost marketshare and I think that is only start, they've going to lose more is this is the best then can do.
These cards are more than fast enough to record 1080p video and watch HD movies, how fast do they really need to be?
Interesting argument considering youre the one advocating the need for quad-cores in smartphones - how fast do they really need to be?These cards are more than fast enough to record 1080p video and watch HD movies, how fast do they really need to be?
Siri just isn't that interesting, it has limited applications due to environment. Who wants to be on a bus and start talking to your phone.
Its fine if your on your own in private location, but that's a very small part of our day to day life unless your a jobless recluse which at this phones price seems unlike to be its target buyer.
Its feature that I think isn't a core one for day to day use constantly.
Serious question. Other than e-peen, what are you going to gain from quad-core?
If I'm going to fork out £500 for a phone, I want it have the best hardware possible at that time, Apple are not providing this so I'll look elsewhere.
I will probably be buying one, but only because I'm currently on the iPhone 3G.
I'd find it pretty difficult to make a case for upgrading from the 4 to the 4S. Doesn't make sense when you could wait another year for the sixth-gen iPhone, which is pretty much guaranteed to be a fresh design.
Apple knows two things: that the iPhone has a very high customer loyalty rate, and that most iPhone users are on 18-month or 24-month contracts. Those people who are out of contract (and thus ripe for an upgrade) will be on the 3GS, not the 4. It makes plenty of commercial sense to release a major upgrade every 2 years when your user base is very loyal.

Think what a lot of people are forgetting is that its also still bringing out centralised software features and getting more developers onboard to make use of the additional power...That's you.
In fairness, Apple have released a phone with just about the best hardware possible at the time. The 4S is very highly specced, I think people are forgetting that.
