What time (UK) are Apple starting to take pre-orders tomorrow?

Wasn't it 7:01 as it's 12:01 in the US?

Anyways what do people think the odds of it selling out is?

It'll be 8am I imagine. Generally it takes a bit of time for the site to whir into action though, whilst its being hammered.

Last year when I got my iPhone 4 I reserved it online for pickup on launch day but appear it not running that system this time

I expect the store to crawl to a halt at 8:03, followed by several hundred posts of " I was in my cart, now its gone!".

I'm with Tesco mobile, so only pay £20 / month for a decent allowance. The mrs is on the same contract for half the price, as she got it on special offer. Speaking of which, they just unlocked my iPhone 4, as I'm now past the 1 year mark

It wont sell out online, the shipping dates will just slowly (or quickly) be pushed out. Almost guaranteed to sell out instore.

I've now heard from a friend that he rang Apple and they said it would be 12:01AM UK time. So I guess it's going to be worth at least trying to see if it does go live tonight, rather than tomorrow morning.

Without being too macabre Steve Jobs' death just catapulted Apple even more into the news and the forefront of peoples minds a day before their big product launch.

It's going to be massive.

The Australian pre-sale didn't start at 12:01AM their time, so I don't think ours will either.

I'd say almost certainly it'll be 08:01am.
