So, the 64GB model is £29 if you pay £62 per month with Vodafone. That isn't too bad considering there were contracts like that for the original 32GB iPhone 4.
Still, £31/month, £419 upfront please. Jesus.
They want £259 upfront for the 16GB model on the £31 deal as well, madness.
(Those are the 24 month plans).
I haven't looked at other places yet, but the Vodafone money back thing they're running looks good.

Making me consider it too. I just want Siri and expect a JB to provide that...Probably was if I had planned it better - sold my 32Gb 3GS for £350 last year - so was hoping the same; obviously doesnt help I want the 64Gb iP4S and not the 32Gb one...

Same as - though if I got a good sale on my mint iP4 32Gb I would! Im just finding it too hard to find enough reasons to replace it that a JB would assist with. The new hardware features are nice, but they are just nice...
Also thinking the iP5 will be a form change, but not necessarily a big hardware change like this - seems counter intutive to jump twice and feel meh; instead of doing the iP4 > iP5 and feeling like its a big change...

Indeed. There are only 4 possible good reasons to get the 4S, as the iPhone 4 will be getting iOS 5 in all it's glory and we all know it works superbly -
1. You want more storage, so 64GB looks good
2. You take a lot of pictures/video and don't find the iPhone 4 camera good enough
3. You think you'll use Siri voice assistant as something more than a show-off feature
4. You've got money to burn, you might as well get it anyway

Im sure whatever stock allocation they used to guarantee despatch by 14th has gone and now any further stock may not be despatched by then. But theres always a good chance that it will - just that they cant guarantee it now. Im sure whta they 'allocate' is a conservative number...

Some of us are still using a 3GS.
This is easily the longest I've ever used a phone on a regular basis. It must be well over 2 years now.
Ah ok, I guess it's a decent upgrade on the 3GS. I think the best bet is to skip a generation and get every other iPhone.
Hmm, presuming the 4S pricing is the same as the 16GB 4 stands on O2 right now, it would cost me £190 to buy out the rest of my contract, £120 from Mazuma for this 3GS = £70 buy out. 16GB 4S on £37/month contract = £140 up front.
So all in all a £210 upgrade to a 16GB 4S from an 8GB 3GS. Very tempting. And don't give me that guff about being cheaper on a SIM only deal + outright handset purchase, it works out £13 cheaper over 2 years and I have no issue keeping a phone for 24 months.

I ordered mine first thing on the phone. dispatched 14th October. Ordered one for a mate about an 2 hours later and dispatch date was 21st - 28th October
