I had a look at my Iphone 4 order from last year and this was dispatched the day before release, I think I got it delivered on the launch day.

It was sent from within the UK if I remember correctly?

Yet as was posted on Monday, Apple announced that the preorders for the iPhone 4s were well over a million, far surpassing that of last years's iPhone 4.

Why did you pay for a sim cutter? you can cut a normal sim down with kitchen scissors.

I have tested this with an old sim card and iphone 4 tray. It fits and dont have to cut off any gold contact part

It also takes 1 minute for numbers to be transferred to a MicroSIM, usually.
 
I'm hearing that Apple reps are telling people that no phone deliveries for those units sold direct from Apple will take place on Friday.

Personally, I think the reps know about as much about the delivery process as we do but even so, I'll be miffed (having taken a day off work) if we get the phone a few days after every man and his dog.
