********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

I use giff gaff, decent network. They had some problems when they first set up with data but been fine for about a year now. Never had a problem.

Tesco contract would be £15 more expensive overall than buying outright & Giffgaff but obviously then your not paying it all upfront.

Cheers. What is Tesco only £15 more over the 12months on a 16GB?

Question if anyone would know, I had an accident with my 3GS and just found out today that the insurance company wants to give me a pay out instead of repairing it (which basically suits me and gives me an excuse to go for the 4GS).

So at the moment I have no iPhone and my 3GS image backed up in iTunes, would I be able to restore this directly to a 4GS (Can a ios4 backup be restored to ios5)?

The company I work for well and truly has the Apple bug :)

Getting allot of managers with iPhone 4's that "aren't working" and "not holding their charge" asking about the 4S

Dual Core and the built in App will well and truly help with faster email access :D

Still, at least the company wasting money has a positive spin. We get to play with the latest hardware :)

For £10 a month on giffgaff.

£500 for phone + £120 for 12 months of theyre 'goodybags' = £620 All in

Tesco
£335.00 Upfront, £25.00 Monthly, £635.00 All in which gives
Mins: 250
Texts: 5000
Data: 1000MB

However there is possible cashback for tesco (£35) which would make it slightly cheaper. Obviously its not gaurenteed to track though!

How much is a 3GS 16Gb worth now?
Need to get rid of mine

Trading mine into "Dough Dough" for £135.

Is it worth getting an iphone bumper with my order from apple? Or are they hideously overpriced and I could get cheaper at any phone shop?

Overpriced, and a lot of repots that they scratch sometimes.
Theres an accesories thread in this forum :)

I think SlashGear have summed up the current phone situation quite well -

It’s a testament to the iPhone 4′s abilities that it could still hold its own against rivals – for consumers and reviewers alike – more than a year after its release. If challengers from the Android or Windows Phone camps were beginning to catch up, then the combination of the iPhone 4S and iOS 5 have comprehensively shifted the benchmark forward.

Wisely resisting the urge to change design for the sake of change, Apple has focused its attention where it will count the most: creating a longer-lasting smartphone that takes better photos, runs apps more smoothly and helps people efficiently manage their mobile lives whether they’re within cable’s reach of their home or office or otherwise. Meanwhile, Siri proves that the company still has what it takes to deliver game-changing functionality.

There will undoubtedly be smartphones with faster processors, or more megapixels to their cameras, or high-speed 4G connectivity, or bigger, better resolution displays, but it’s difficult to imagine any of them competing with the joined-up ecosystem Apple now offers. Challenging the iPhone isn’t just about creating one single, better smartphone, but a portfolio of consistent products and services. The iPhone 4S may look the same as before, but it arguably represents just as much of a shift in the industry as the original iPhone ever did.

You can't tether with it though, so if that's something you'd need then it won't suit you.

Could easily jailbreak and get round it.
