Have Apple sorted out the multi-tasking?
So you dont have to individually kill each app in the tray?

Who does that and why? I only ever go through and kill apps if I decide for any reason that I want to do a complete restart of the phone. The last time would have been whenever the last software update was, that's about the only time I restart the device. Months ago?

I thought it helps save battery life :)

If you restart your phone it does not kill your apps. They get relaunched into memory next time you boot.

Go kill all your apps and see how much faster your phone is. It's a bit of an eye opener.

You don't need to manually kill apps unless you are running one that is specifically designed to properly run in the background, such as TomTom while navigating.

I just did after reading that. It doesn't feel any different.

I usually kill all the apps every few days. I like to maintain a small list of recently opened apps, instead of letting all apps sit in a ready state.

Seems to be a lot of rumors about apple not shipping until 14th! Even when I rang apple they said this was the case! :/ yet most of you guys have confirmation of dispatch!

I haven't had confirmation of dispatch, but they have charged my card today. Only reason I know is because the fraud prevention department for my card company rang me up to confirm the transaction.

I still have the same ship date as above.

Still haven't been charged for either of the two orders of mine that are 'processing', it was with a debit card, so I was under the impression they charged it straight away and it was only Credit Cards that were charged on dispatch.

It was annoying that Barclaycard went into Fraud Protection mode when I tried to order last Friday, as with my debit card not yet having been charged, I'm worried that is going to do the same. As I used to have my debit card linked to my Apple account for iTunes purchases, but then I got hit by their fraud department because apparently apple purchases are really dodgy and lots of fraud goes on with hacked iTunes accounts.

You can't actually change the payment method on the processing page, as otherwise I could have kept one as debit card and tried entering my Credit Card again now I sorted the fraud issue out.

Still in two minds as whether to keep the order open for the second phone that was accidentally ordered. I don't think the prices that some will be willing to pay will be obvious until its on sale and out of stock.

I dont think its going to be as in demand as the iP4 launch so I doubt it will be unavailable for a significant amount of time, though youll still get ebay idiots buying them for silly money...

People say Steve Jobs death may make it more popular, but however emotive that is, I doubt it would lead to a purchase that wouldnt have happened without that event. Perhaps Im speaking out of turn, but I kinda expecting something like a iPhone (Product) Red to turn up though to mark that. Sounds in bad taste but he was a marketer, so its kinda apt...

And yes, Im still cut up about not getting one ;):p (Im not, just miss the new toy anticipation)

ps3ud0
