Do you know something all this talk of Evangelion has made me realise I dont actually own ANY of it whatsoever...think that needs to be sorted!!

Back soon ;)

Just watched the Naruto movie and thoughrouly enjoyed it. Visually looked great, still had the humour and the fighting was excellent. The movie was bound to be a sucess for me as it is based around one mission which in the anime would be stretched out along 20 or so episodes and full of flashbacks of what happend about 5 minutes ago, which is one of the things I hate about the anime but the film was clear and concise.

On another note I've started reading the manga where I left the anime and for some reason find it a bit of a chore to read. The drawings seem awkward but I still enjoyed it and can't wait to se the fights in the anime.

On a futher note I've also started watching Berserk and think it's great and even though after waking up in the middle of the night and sweating because of thinking about deamons I like the older anime style it has to it.

hey guys does any one know if `animenation.com` has gone bust or summat?i ordered a few dvd`s off them about a week ago and got the confirmation e-mail .have been trying to check the order status and web page for 2 days now and it keeps coming up with page not found etc :(
any info most appreciated as if they have gone **** up i will have to reorder with another retailer

i can get to their webpage fine, and I haven't heard anything about them going bust so it may just be server problems at their end, or a dns (or similar) problem with your ISP.
[edit]
thinking about, i vageuly remember reading a post on another board that said something about animenation having had some server problems recently
[/edit]

Is anyone here going to get Elfen Lied?
I watched the first 4 episodes this morning and it looks pretty good, even if so far it's nothing really new :)

mmmmm still not working for me :(
but if the site is still ok i will wait and see about the dvd`s
thanx for your help :)
EDIT:fixed it :D
peerguardian 2 was blocking HTTP ,all working now :)

Twins is fun :)
a bit  at times though ;)
I'm looking forward to getting the last disc, hopefully this week, and may well end up rewatching Teacher as well :)

Has anyone else seen the latest Ghost in the Shell SAC disc yet?
I watched it over the weekend and it's got some great episodes on it (21-23 i think), all Complex ones.
The DTS track was great on the episode with the marine combat suit, the Major is not someone you want to get on the wrong side of

Yea, i got my copy of GiTS:SAC last week.

I loved the design of the marine suit. Although i thought it looked a little like the landmate suits from Appleseed (due to be delivered soon :D ).

Cant wait for the final disc of GiT:SAC!

Werewolf, have you ordered FMP:FUMOFFU? If so and Im guessing that you have ordered from DVDPacific, has yours been dispatched yet?

:) me got the last two discs coming from dvd boxoffice hopefully this week werewolf, already got purchased the teacher box set....i am a try before you buy person .....:)
great series i thought ,both of em i mean

@Werewolf: The phrase you had spoiler-marked: YES!:eek:

On a related note, how is it that recent titles get R2 releases fairly quickly, but slightly older stuff (with the exception of high-profile movies) take ages, even with something as popular as GitS?

Oh, and, on a completely unrelated note, watched Mononoke-Hime for the first time last week - really excellent!:)

Kodiak, i've been waiting for my FMP:F + box to ship for about 10 days now (some stores have been shipping it for nearly 2 weeks).
I suspect there may have been a mistake at DVDP or their supplier as it's happened a couple of times in the past with ADV titles, although normally as you probably know they tend to ship early.

Manveruppd, I think it's due to the high profile/newness (is that a word?) of the newer titles.
With older titles I beleive the thinking goes that a lot of people who would buy it have already imported it (so there is no point in rushing the release as it won't increase sales), but with newer titles that are only just getting an R1 release the local buyers are more likely to wait for the R2 UK if it's announced early.
Hence the reason we are seeing new titles get announced for the UK before the first R1 disc ships (the lag seems to be down to about 6 months, which tends to put us about 2 months after the R4 PAL release a lot of the time).

IIRC we were meant to see GITS:SAC released in the U.K. a day before the U.S. release (we were meant to get it the Monday, and the U.S. on the Tuesday) according to what I remember reading.
However it's Manga* we're talking about so we got it a few months after the U.S.

Madman in Aus seem to do the same as we are seeing here, they try to get new titles out as fast as possible (bearing in mind they have to wait for the R1 release), and also try to release some of the older titles but don't rush to release them.

*the masters of messing up releases and schedules "yes X should be getting released summer next year" "ah sorry X has been delayed, it should be out by Christmas", "it should be out next year" (damn them to hell for not sorting out a Gunbuster and Wings of Honaemise release).

Ahh, I was wondering why my Appleseed DVD shipped and the FMP:F hasn't. I thought it was due to me being late putting in my pre-order.
