Re the manga offers, some of those are insane, I though Summer Wars/TGWLTT double pack was good value at £15, at £7 it's a no brainer :)

I think some of the other sites owned by the same group are also doing the titles at a similar (within a few pence) price, so it can be even better value if you've got a voucher :)
I ended up ordering Soul Eater, Ouren School Host Club and Buso Renkin for ~26 :)
 
I'm tempted by Soul Eater, i thought it was ..ok to start with, but then just devolved into the usual pattern you see in the likes of DBZ, Bleach and Naruto, just with a bit more of a stylish vibe to it. Good value for money though for 51 episodes.

TGWLTT/Summer Wars offer is really strange.

TGWLTT/Summer Wars Blu Ray Double = £6.85
TGWLTT/Summer Wars DVD Double = £8.85
Summer Wars DVD = £6.85
Summer Wars Blu Ray = £8.85

Definitely a no brainer for those who don't have them :p.

The Death Note complete dvd set for £16.85 is a good price, although I'm sure i've seen it cheaper before.

Edit: Watching Azumanga for the gazillionth time while i do some work, it's still as charming as ever. You can't not like Chiyo-chan :p. I also feel like i shouldn't laugh at half the bad things that happen to her, but i do.. funny funny funny.

To right, I would echo the recommendation of TGWLTT/Summer Wars, (particularly on BD).

Soul Eater ... I'm tempted but I really want it on BD if i get it (although I have the part 1 DVD set and I just couldn't get into it ...)

damn you lot, I've just spent money on some more dvd's lol

Just bought baccano!, claymore, rin daughters of Mnemosyne, xxholic and summer wars/tgwltt (on blu ray even though I don't own a blu ray player yet lol). Would have bought buso renkin but I got that last month :rolleyes:

Would love to go to anime expo sadly for the likes of me it costs a lot of money to go nevermind buy stuff when ur there. :( Shame their wasnt one in the UK which might have been doable.

In the UK the equivalent would be things like the MCM Expos ... haven't got to the larger London ones of these but did pop along to the Midlands one at the beginning of last year.
 
Hmmm so many choices.

Decided to go for a random over some of the choices I was tempted by and started Brighter than the Dawning Blue.

Hopefully ill enjoy it heh
 
I didn't find it a bad series as such ... it just wasn't very strong and the ending ... well you'll see ...

Finished watching Fortune Arterial earlier. Ok this is another school based series with vampires. But don't expect masses of horror or tension ... this is pretty much laid back most of the time. Reasonable mix of characters and some humour at times but it didn't strike me as a particularly strong series. It also seemed very rushed at the end; the speed of the story for the first 10 or so episodes was paced as if it was a 2 cour series but then the story was wrapped up in a couple of episodes ... it just didn't feel right to me ...

I see there is new out about Arrietty having different dubs for it's UK and US releases ... can only be a good thing if we don't have to put up with American accents in the dub (although for once I don't recognise the names of the casts, as listed on the article on ANN, nor most/all of the things they've been in ... for either cast). I suppose the question is will we get it on BD in time for Christmas given the July theatrical release date here, (US don't get it in theatres until next Feb)?

I would comment that I have the US release with the same problem and can't honestly say that I really noticed it when I originally watched through the set prior to the problem coming to light.

But now (hugs JP BD release) I think I'm covered anyway ....
