The AMD Driver Thread

Installed the new drivers, as above. Similar issues.

Starting to regret getting an AMD card again.

Dirt Rally just crashed again, what a waste of money :(

Well after my earlier post saying the drivers from LoadsaMoneys link seemed to have fixed the err_gfx_d3d_init crash I was getting...i had the crash again. Played a few hours of online yesterday and didn't get the crash. Had some dinner, played about 20 mins of single player and it happened again.

Can you try disabling Windows GVR in Windows 10 to see if that makes any difference please chaps?

You have to sign in, I used a really old Game for Windows Live account. Bit sneaky it is enabled by default when you can't even access it without signing in. Guess it runs in the background or something

I can't believe how good rainbow six siege is, ubisoft have a real gem here..
Played for hours last night with a five man team was so much fun.
It says a lot when csgo doesn't even get a thought about playing.

Still hate ubisoft though Haaa they need to do more to win my full trust again but I will be buying this for sure.

Performance is superb on max settings at 1440p single 290 am avg close to 100fps.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd be interested to know if the issue returns after you all do more testing.

Not that we condone or support this, but it did not work for me on Windows 10.

MSI 390X user.

I've been gaming all weekend pretty much, I have yet to crash in GTA5, Ark Survival or other DX11 games that were previously completely unplayable.

These leaked drivers seem to have done the trick for me - even those they didn't appear too much different in version numbers overall, something must be different as previously I couldn't play GTA5 for more than a few seconds before crashing.

I already had the Windows 10 XBOX app completely uninstalled via powershell soon after installing Windows months ago.

I have hardware acceleration disabled in chrome, though I am running Skype, which uses hardware acceleration I believe.

Uninstalling skype now, good shout.

GTA V seemed to work earlier, when I went on safe mode and then upped the graphics to max at 1440p.

I just convinced my cousin to get a 390 over a 970 too

Isn't the 390 Hawaii based? A rebranded 290? How can it be that there are 0 problems with 290 while people can't even play a few sec on 390? Makes no sense.

My 290 is probably the most rock solid GPU I have ever owned. Not a single crash in any game.
