The AMD Driver Thread

Isn't the 390 Hawaii based? A rebranded 290? How can it be that there are 0 problems with 290 while people can't even play a few sec on 390? Makes no sense.

My 290 is probably the most rock solid GPU I have ever owned. Not a single crash in any game.

The 390 has double the VRAM and a newer revision GPU core, which has power consumption and thermal improvements afaik - these changes must have required a slight driver change, which has obviously resulted in these problems, else all 290 owners would be experiencing the same problems.

Also, incase you didn't see, this is only an issue with Windows 10 users. The 390 works perfectly in Windows 7 and 8.

My post was actually directed towards AMD. I can only hope they fix this ASAP because I would be just as ****ed as you guys.

Also a MSI 390X user and can confirm the leaked drivers looked to of sorted my problems too, cod ghost & bf4 working great for a good 4 or 5 hours including with my overclock applied.

Display driver crashed (black screen) upon exiting bf4 once and had to reset pc at the wall but no error was logged in event viewer and no problem since.

It's fixed for me, using the leaked drivers that user Loadsofmoney linked earlier in this thread ;)

Thanks for the feedback chaps. So it seems that driver has fixed the issue for the majority of the 390X users so far. Think only one person mentioned the issue remained.

msi 390 user here with windows 10, i have not seen any blackscreen issues.

i have seen display corruption issues with freesync enabled(fine without freesync enabled), in games like mgstpp, rainbow six siege, bf4 and world of warships - there are more but unfortunately i cannot remember the whole list.
The left half of the screen would be on the right side and the right on the left, with horizontal lines across the screen. this is resolved by alt tabbing a few times and eventually displays correctly.

it normally happens when the games start up or when alt tabbing out, again alt tabbing a few times resolves the issue.

Farcry 4 back to normal with the 15.9 beta's. Getting 90 fps average. Great work.

AMDmatt, can you shed some light on whether any AMD driver issue is holding up the ARK: survival Evolved DX12 update? The game also doesn't get any boost with crossfire.

AMD Catalyst™ 15.9 Beta Drivers

Hello, Has something been done about the screen corruption issue with Fiji. I still often suffer from the screen shrinking in on itself and being covered in warped lines. It's been an issue for several weeks as you know (We've all spoken about it before) and it's a pain as alt tabbing usually does not work.

It is also not just an issue when using Internet services (as some off us originally thought), It's just a random problem as I've had it happen while browsing the internet, playing games and while working on text files.
