Thats normal at idle i think, power saving feature, 2nd GPU shuts off.

If the computer is in 2D mode this is normal if you have ULPS enabled, the second gpu literally turns itself off including the fans.
Disable ULPS in afterburner restart and the fans will start spinning, slowly at idle.
yeh it could have done with a ton of more ingame options that actually did something lol i liked a lot of how far i played yeh
the side missions i didnt find totally boring and the crafting system better than farcry4 for sure! i played it mostly co-op so didnt get long into the story yet
there's been atleast 1 update since i tried it last so wondering if it plays any better
been getting into HOTS a bit more so my free time has gone there

that sorted that problem -) i can control my fans now, if i have upls enabled will my customer fan profile kick in during gaming?
Tomb raider wont allow me to run exclusive full screen as it says problem initiating dx11 in current system config, however i had that before so its not gpu related
Crysis 3 ran flawlessly though (i can max it out on 1440p with 8x msaa and still get playable frames) and im going to test your fc4 profile out soon

Perhaps a fresh windows install may fix your long standing DirectX problem.
Yes your custom fan profile in afterburner should work fine, these are the settings i used to use on an older gpu.

3840x2160, 4K, UHD whichever you want to call it. I call it 2160P or 4K, but I know real 4K is 4xxx something.
Not sure if TinyPic have resized and butchered that image, as it seems to be shrunk on my screen.
I'm using this one, but i will be giving it to the girlfriend once i can get my hands on a 4K FreeSync panel.
It's TN panel, not bad at all but looking forward to getting something a bit better.

Hi Matt MSI 290x at 1080p but i hear a lot of people having bad framerates on AMD cards if you look at steam reviews etc
Ok will have a bash at 1080P with a single 295x2 core. Any particular settings i should use?

I have dying light and it doesn't run too well at 1080p for me Maybe the new drivers will help
60 fps v sync on (obviously) but does drop down to about 40 or so in fighting or large areas, on ultra this is, everything max. lowered the AA and stuff, works fine
