It does not im afraid. 13.11 Beta 8 is the last driver not to have that bug afaik. Its in the fix list though so i expect it will be fixed before long.

I hope so. I'll just continue to play either with vsync off or crossfire disabled. That old beta has horrible microstutter, I'd rather just wait for the vsync fix than mess around rolling back and fixing the stutter.

Did anyone else install beta 14.2 and get this raptr crap automatically installed?

I don't think I saw anything to untick to stop it (I did express install, admittedly).

Oh dear... well looks like I['m one of the few who finds Mantle BAD. Was hoping for some serious FPS/smoothness.. adn this is my findings.

Switching between DX11 and Mantle, on various levels, Shangai/Dawnbreaker/Caspian... I get massive CPU spiking in Mantle to the point that the game is jumping/jerking... Igave it a minute to ensure all textures loaded etc etc but to no avail, it runs badly on my machine. Shame, as they specifically state that 4 GPU's are catered for... switching back to DX11 and it's same old solid performance but smoother, I think they have the frame thing sorted and plays very smooth... No matter what I do, I can't get Mantle to run smoothly...

On the graph to analyse the performance, normally the GPU's are literally smooth with no peaks, then as soon as CPU spikes, the GPU's go mental... so not what I was expected, I expected Mantle to stop the CPU spiking thus making the GPU's behave nicely!

Anyone else got 4 GPU's and are they playing ball?

What's the vram usage when that occurs? Try typing this into the console with Mantle running to monitor vram usage. I find Mantle uses a lot more vram than DX currently. You could be hitting/exceeding your vram limit. What settings are you using? Try experimenting lowering Texture quality/Filtering and MSAA.

Render.DrawScreenInfo 1

Tahiti and 7XXX cards are still awaiting the same level of performance optimisations as 290 cards. The next driver should fix that, due in 2+ weeks.

Pug do you restart BF4 when switching? I get a lot of hitching when switching and not restarting the game.......

I'm still getting small amount of hitching once in while but I think that's due to the fact I'm runinng out of video ram; or C is full; lol haven't figure out which.

Will soon enough need to clone C and move it to new ssd LOL; just trying to find which HD is c in my case as I have 5 HDs LOL

I have seen my vRam usage stutter hit 2.3GB on a 2GB card (Render.DrawScreenInfo 1)
What you say makes sense, i don't actually get a memory leak or any stuttering at all on Medium settings. its just perfect and thats it.

BUT. Anything over that, lets say High. there is a gain in vRam starting from 1.3GB to infinity. it climbs in stutter chunks, every minute or so there is a stutter with the vRam gaining 50MB, it keeps doing that until it hits 2020MB ish, after that its a constant stuttering mess with low FPS.

Its the Stutter gaining of vRam at setting over Medium that makes me think its something to do with the Game settings, something in the settings at high or above is switching something on that it does not like, causing the Memory leak.

I'm still experimenting, i'm determined to figure this out.

Humbug; is that with all high settings or maybe just textures? interesting I'll have to test cause I think I'm getting the same thing with my 7870 LE

Matt Emailed me about Textures which got me thinking, i ran a quick test with Textures on Medium with everything else on Ultra and it seemed better. tho still taking stutter chunks it seemed to have stopped filling vRam at 1781MB.

I haven't had time to test properly but we might be onto something with that, i will report back once i have more.

2560x1440 on "low" settings

I get more VRAM usage than I got, regardless of the settings I use, just goes up beyond my allocation and then hangs around that point, doesn't go much higher I don't think. Though I can't really play for long because it becomes a complete stuttering mess.

Same as my findings Walder. I noticed my gpu temps were up 1-2c from normal as well. Then i realised its because im chugging out 25+ more fps.

Lol this didn't even cross my mind - makes complete sense of course. Lower frametimes and higher framerates = card working harder. Note to self - Not rocket science is it!

Are your cards filling the vram to the limit when playing bf4? Doesn't seem to cause an issue but just wondering if it's 'supposed' to. I can't imagine it is supposed to but then it is a brand new API so might use memory differently, or perhaps it's caching the spare ram for other uses?

When switching from DX11 to Mantle I retsrat BF4, as I thought that you had to enable the API.

As for settings, I run, 5760x1080, ULTRA everything with 2xMSAA and SBOA... not sure what the VRAM usage is, I'll try and get some readings later tonight and see whether I'm maxing the 3gb out... surely not though? Also, it's what I use in DX11 and I just don't see this amount of stuttering and spiking which is all over the place, will get some screen shots and post me thinks... see what you think.

Yes Mantle uses considerably more vram than DX at the moment. Causes some issues for some showing itself as stuttering fps drops as they don't realise they're hitting or exceeding the vram limit. Typing Render.DrawScreenInfo 1 in the console allows you to keep an eye on vram usage while playing as no overlay software works currently.

I bet you're exceeding the vram limit at those settings. Will wait and see though. AMD/Dice are aware of the issue. More optimisation being done on that i think.

I'll also reduce settings as well, worth taking MSAA off then and SBOA off and see what difference that makes I think, as the rest should be fine I'd imagine.
