Are there issues with bf4 and mantle regarding either framerate or memory usage? Any time I get a large explosion close by the game dives to single digits, in d3d it might go to 3-0 or 40 fps but remains playable when this occurs. That's @ 5760x1080 ultra.

Don't use Mantle for very high resolutions as it is a VRAM hog and you run out of memory.

DX11 is better for high resolutions as it does not have any VRAM problems.

This is beautiful, totally negates the purpose of developing a new API if it has such limitations. :confused:

Lets hope DX12 is nothing like Mantle then! :p

That explains why I was getting slower FPS when I playing BF4 after 30mins on my 1440p monitor. Only a full reboot fixed it for abit.

Found mine is fine at 1440. What card you using? Am on a single 290x.
It does hit the 3400-3600ish mark after a few hours though so i can see why at 4k it will become a pain.
