My God man you must be deaf.... :)

I hear this a lot. (pun intended) :D

My case fans are louder than my gpu's as the gpu fans don't go over 56% fan speed. With this amount of grunt, i don't mind a bit of throttling as it keeps the fps down to 100-200fps at 4K, depending on the game.

As Kaap can confirm, four 290X's create the same noise on air as one 290X does if they're at the same fan speed. :)

amd should go back to releasing CAP's, why did they stop this?

I've passed this feedback on several times now, don't worry. :)

Sorry to hear that Maka, but thanks for the kind words regarding me.

What game are you having an issue with due to a lack of a crossfire profile, just Shadow Of Mordor? Because we have a profile for that soon!

Is there anyway i can convince you to stay with the red team? :)

hi matt
i am just sick of crossfire having to wait been doing it for years 4870x2, 6990 and 7990 just had enough, just bought a msi gtx 980 gamer oc will hopefully give me less hassle, i just want to buy the latest release and run it max out straight away cannot be bothered anymore with the hassle of trying to get the amd crossfire to work,
Amd are losing a lot of there loyal customers with there terrible crossfire support i am last of my mates to move to nivida due to lack of support.
thanks again for your help mate, you really are good at the job you do, and are most helpful.:)
thanks
Maka

Its funny, because there are a lot of people having next to no issues at all. Like me when i was running 290 crossfire.

Thanks and i understand. We know we can still improve in this area (crossfire profiles for games) and i will do my best to make sure that happens, don't worry.

My experience with XFIRE is mixed at best. The 4870X2 was my first xfire experience and it was awesome but I had loads of flickering issues in some games, and just better performance in some with just 1 GPU active.

Went off them back to NVIDA until recently, and it's been much better with Crossfire lately. Although then there are some games that still won't use the second GPU, or profiles needs work.

Always a chance of an issue though. So I can easily understand why many would just want something that works like a single powerful card.

I have had my fair share of issues with crossfire too, however, I find that using one GPU seems to be enough if the initial support for crossfire isn't there.

Some games never seem to work properly, I mean last night Titanfall on crossfire mose had some flickering going on, along with some random slow downs. However, on a single GPU the fps and game ran fine. I have no idea what causes such issues, but I do like it that AMD are putting the effort in to add support for such titles.

I didn't have any issues with my 4870 and 6970 for crossfire but I didn't crossfire them till a year after the cards release. I crossfired my 290's within 6 months and it took sometime for a lot of ssues to be fixed. BF4 was the main one but that's an issue within itself.

Does anyone run dual screen with DVI and HDMI? I have my 24 inch monitor connected through DVI and my 47 inch TV through HDMI both running at 1080. For the past few driver releases when I enable them in dual screen both screens will flicker. The only way to stop it is to unplug the HDMI cable. I have tried another HDMI cable but its still the same problem.

Yeah, I run my monitor on DVI and the second screen is a TV via HDMI. No flickering or any issues whatsoever.
Sorry that doesn't help you, but it does show that it ought to work :)

ED: Have you tried any of the HDTV/refresh options in CCC like forcing 1080p/60 for example?

Nope but thanks I give that a try.

morning all,

I have just started getting ***124 BSOD's which apparently can be graphics driver based. Started last week. anyone else suffered with this?

Updated to the latest AMD drivers on Weds, but got another of the same crashes last night, just wondered if I am missing something

When you say latest drivers you mean the 14.9 betas or the 14.9whql?

Also need to use a driver cleaner like DDU that boots to safe mode to remove all components.

pants knew I forgot something, was getting hugely frustrated with the crashing and forgot DDU, thank you

Its the latest 14.9whql driver set

124 is usually lack of cpu vcore. :)

See this is why I ask people who know :) , I had a few instances of everything being well with crossfire disabled but flakey with it on. Will look down that route too then, cheers
