Hi Greg,

Just checked with the drivers guys and tested it myself. It's impossible to make the driver auto install after download, you need to click a bunch of things to even download the drivers yet alone install it. I think it's possible if you clicked check for updates, download twice and then finally install. :p

I'd recommend restarting, that should bring back the display. Then going through the process i mentioned above.

Yer lol, I have no idea what is what and would have just DDU'd and reinstalled if I was there fixing it. Hopefully that will sort it for him.

Hi Maka,

The best profile for Shadow Of Mordor now is Crysis 3. Give it a try and see what you think. :)

We will have a proper profile for that soon, don't worry. :)

thanks matt tried it, but not as good as the tombraider one, the crysis one is still lagging and this one has corruption in the flys and stuff.

thanks
Maka

Those settings look good. Not entirely sure on the flickering if im honest. When does it occur, whilst browsing? Perhaps try disabling hardware acceleration.

Regarding Fifa, i had that earlier too. Disable afterburner, start the game up then load afterburner. It was causing my Fifa to crash as well. My guess is the afterburner overlay was interfering with the game. If it keeps doing it you can tell afterburner to use a 'Custom D3D support' option. This might stop the crashing.

1. Add the fifa15.exe to rivatuner/afterburner
2. Select custom 3d support on.
3. Play.

Hi Matt,

After good knows how long my rig can finally play games again. It turns out the Rivertuner/Afterburner was making most games stutter and not even work at all. But I think I have fixed most of the games now. However, I appear to now of completely killed Fifa 15. :( It won't even go pas that grassy first screen it shows, god knows why.

I regards to the Afterburner profiles, I have found them, but still can't understand exactly where to set the 2D clocks, all i see on the main screen is the 3D ones?

I know there is a profile for each of them, but I can't find where to actually set the 2D clocks, any suggestions? :)

Other ones to try:

Lost Planet 2
AFR Friendly
HK2207

Interesting. What did you have the monitoring value set to? I recommend a value no lower than 1000, 2000 ideally.

Might be worth checking out my newly rewritten Crossfire guide. I will have to update the version i have on this forum soon.

For the 2D profile simply create a normal profile, save it to slot 1. Then do the same for 3D and apply it in the profiles tab, select profile 1 as slot 1 etc.

Hi Matt,

I have checked the Monitor value it was 1000, however, I have changed it to 2000.
Thanks for the new crossfire guide, i'll take a look at it now.

Okay, so after a while trying to get my bearings, I came up with this below:

As you can see by GPUz the idle clocks are below those set in Afterburner, is there any reason for this?

I have two separate slots for each profile, is that how it should be or am I going off on a tangent and got the wrong end of the stick (I do that a lot) :p.

By the way, I got Fifa to work, it turned out a simple edit in the configuration code and bam it worked! :D The game does indeed look very like at those settings you told me about, kudos to you!

Glad you got fifa working, it does look lovely. :)

I think you're doing it correctly with afterburner, so not sure why it's not working to be honest. For me it auto applies the 2D/3D profile when the gpu changes clock states and is done automatically. I think it may just be a case of trial and error to get it working russell to be honest, sorry i can't be of more help there.

When does it flicker exactly?

To be fair, I mainly notice it when its idle with a web browser open, while of the desktop or something like that. I have noticed it more, and its more frequent when I use my eye infinity mode. However, I have profiles setup for those so I can switch with ease.

I was looking I GPUz and the Dynamic memory was around 2156MB, I'm guessing that means the game is using 2GB of Vram? :o

I think maybe a restart is in order for the profiles to take effect, I have set Afterburner to startup with my system minimised.

EDIT: I was on the menus of Titanfall and my GPU's went the the 2D clocks, however once the game loaded a level it ramped up to the 3D clocks. Now what I can't understand is why when at the desktop it goes below the set values on the clocks.

Give up with crossfire getting rid of my 7990, gonna buy nvidia gtx 970 or 980
sick of amd lack of crossfire support been using amd cards for last 12yrs but had enough. i know the games will eventually work with crossfire but whats the point of buying the latest game release and having to wait to play it especially after you shell out a stack of money for your setup.
i would like to thank matt who has helped me over the years, its a shame there isn't a few more like him at AMD maybe then they would sort there act out and start updating drivers and releasing them more frequently and give the paying customer a better service..

thanks
Maka

Sorry to hear that Maka, but thanks for the kind words regarding me.

What game are you having an issue with due to a lack of a crossfire profile, just Shadow Of Mordor? Because we have a profile for that soon!

Is there anyway i can convince you to stay with the red team? :)

What about Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition? Game runs like dirt on two D700's at 3440x1440.
Everything set to normal except Extreme World density and averaging just high 40's, with some scenes at 50's.

Profiles should really be there asap. I get a lot of games before release, and it's hell sometimes trying to deal with it.

I will have to investigate SLeeping Dogs Definitive Edition. Could you try using the normal Sleeping Dogs crossfire profile in the meantime please and see if that improves performance?

Do you know if both gpu's are seeing usage while playing Sleeping Dogs, or is only one working?

I agree about the profiles though and i will pass on feedback regarding this, so thank you.

I don't have a Sleeping Dogs Profile at all in my Control Centre. I only have profiles which I create myself it seems.

Although both GPU's are showing usage in the game, and I have ULPS disabled.

Which drivers are you using?

If you add the exe to CCC, you should be able to select use amd pre-defined profile and apply the HKShip.exe (sleeping dogs)

Tls2xBh.jpg

Tick enable unified gpu usage monitoring in afterburner too mate.

Yo matt, out of curiosity. What is your current set up like? I see you've got a 3970x but got some water cooling or something :D?

Using 14.9. With, and without hkship.exe profile selected it seems only 1 GPU is used. Unified gpu monitoring is on.

Seems Crossfire is a no go in the Definitive edition.
