**THE AMD DRIVERS THREAD**

Ok my take on these drivers.......
initially they fixed my issue in eyefinity not being able to run my 3 monitors over 60hz, all is running sweet until I decide to use 1 monitor for BF4, OMG! I couldn't get any more than 30% usage on both my 7970's, it was mostly sat at 22% usage and my game was stuttering like hell, even with all settings on low and back to 60hz it was completely unplayable. I was just about to roll back to the previous driver when I spotted this thread, phew!

Well that's a new one, I'm on 14.9.2 and just reset my 3D application settings in hopes of it fixing some issues I was having with Skyrim, and now my screen is black and white. Anyone know what may have caused this?

Hi Guys, for anyone else suffering from the DPC related audio popping and stuttering with xfire and vsync, I've included the content from an email I just sent to Matt below

tl;dr disconnect all but your primary monitor, or any monitors that are not part of an eyefinity array as a workaround until the problem is resolved. Nice to finally know what the root cause is.

Just had a read of that.
I run two monitors and haven't been suffering from this issue.

Any idea whether it's down to which one is connected via HDMI?
Right now, my second screen is the TV (HDMI via AV amp), main monitor is DVI.
The TV becomes the main monitor when it's in use.

Ended up fixing it, uninstalled 14.9.2 used DDU and installed 14.11.1 and it's OK again. Still an odd thing to happen in the first place though.

I think it's related to something else (Matt was asking me about pcie lane speeds for example), but that's just the workaround. I'm pretty sure it doesn't affect everyone. I have my 2nd monitor on hdmi and my primary on DP.

My GPU is R9 290DC2OC.

The brand of cable is bizlink.
The monitor is PB278Q.

If I turn off my monitor's power, the error message will appear.

Does anyone face the problem?

I am not sure whether it is driver or monitor or GPU's problem...

Very Thanks :(

Driver:have tested 14.11、14.9.2....

I have the same problem with my 295x2 and AOC monitor via Displayport.

Doesn't matter which drivers I use

See post here:
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=26884360&postcount=215

In the end I just had to disable the monitors powering off.

Very thank you.

I want to ask you a question.

Do you have a problem just like the video?

I run a benchmark such as 3dmark if in loading state I turn off my monitor's
power and then turn on, it will appear an error message "Window focus lost while running tests."
(also have Displayport link failure).

Maybe upload it clearer than 144p (I didn't even know Youtube went that low!)

But no, no Windows error.

Matt

Do we know if Far Cry 4 with have crossfire support/proper scaling on release? Seems that the game favours Nvidia more than AMD with the Nvidia Godrays in the menu and the animal fur being better for Nvidia.

Evening chaps.

We'll be releasing a new driver very soon which will offer some nice performance improvements over 14.1.1 in Farcry 4.
