After trying a few more games.....color me impressed! Everything feels a lot smoother than it did. Now I have the horsepower and it actually feels like it I'm not so keen to give them up.

Been playing tomb raider and most thing looks ot be okay, but some cut scences looked a bit funny to me so I loaded up afterburner, and their does seem to be some massive spikes in frame times, I'l try and get a screen shot of it or something but I'l have a pretty straight line then their be a chunk with really bad spiking and I'm pretty sure its durning these cut scenes - anyone else notice a similar issue?

Think its more game engine mate with the Tress'n'go hair effects enabled?

Ah okay - so long as it wasnt something on my side, so cutscenes are known to take longer frametimes? And I think I have tress'n'go hair effects enabled but I'l check for sure later

I'm getting a touch of flickers on the desktop on these drivers though. I was playing deadlight last night and it was a bit artifact-y as well. My 2 cards have been perfect will all previous drivers so its not faulty cards.

I've noticed a difference, could be placebo in some games but things like Skyrim, Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 definitely run smoother.

Test Drive unlimited 2 runs much smoother for me with these drivers, i'm using a 7970, I've seen at least a 10fps increase, bringing it up to 60fps on max settings, AA - 2X. Was barely hitting 50fps in city areas before.

So do you still need the CAP drivers with the 13.8 drivers? I saw someone mention that they were now incorporated into the drivers now but this thread is so long I can't find it anymore.

Having to install the separate CAP drivers has always seemed strange to me. Why not always include them with the drivers? Everyone benefits from them.

anyone on windows 8 updated and had success? i tried all yesterday and gave up.
im using 2 hice iceq boost 7950

I'm on windows 8 and having no problems. However before i could install 13.8 beta i had to uninstall radeonpro first for some reason. Once the driver was safely installed i reinstalled radeonpro with no problems.

Radeonpro is not as useful now as it was before. However its still handy to change the flip queue size from time to time in certain fps games to lower mouse input lag from the default of 3 to 1.
