This new driver is solid. It allows me to add another 25mhz on the core clock of my gpu without crashing.

13.8 Metro LL Wow! Super smooth full max settings 1080p.
Still having issues with BF3 though
the frame rate just dont feel smooth at all.
Went from a i5 2500k to a i7 2600k and not much a change. the CPU usage is much lower on the i7 but I only seeing max GPU usage of 70%
But everything else is running great so far, do I just call it BF3 is a very badly optimized game?

I was plagued with crossfire issues
My cards were HIS 7970 IceQ2 Ghz edition and reference vtx 7970
And they ran like dog poo
So i managed to do a straight swap, my reference for another identical HIS IceQ2 7970
I fired 13.8 drivers in there and BAM! Everything running smooth and now getting crossfire performance!

Shankly it's the Mesh detail that's the FPS killer in BF3.

Yer even having this onto Low dont make much change in the frame rate. My CPU isn't under full load either
Just hoping they can make this better for BF4.

I'm currenly running on the ancient 13.2 drivers, I've got a 6870 X2 so it is technically crossfire, but a single card. And I have two monitors, but don't span games accross both (Which is what Eyefinity is, right?)
Is the 13.8 beta the best driver for me? Reading back the last couple of pages I'm seeing people talking about crossfire issues and eyefinity issues, so don't want to install these only to have to roll back because of issues.

One thing I have noticed with driver 13.8 is now on Crossfire my Bottom card is hotter than the top? lol

That's a tough one, although you should see smoother performance I don't know how well they'll work with your specific card. It's not SO old and can keep up fairly well no doubt.
With regard to Eyefinity, I believe it's a minimum of 3 monitors otherwise it's just a regular extended desktop.

Crysis 3 runs like butter now mate as does metro even to the point where not only do they feel smoother I am sure they have gained fps as well but I never knew what numbers I was getting. I picked up Resi 6 for cheap and found I have to disable frame pacing in that or it stutters like hell (irony) but other than that I havnt tried too much else.
Sounds like a bit of an improvement then. It sounded like you were about to set fire to them and chuck them out the window the other day
I wish i could say the same. Tried Crysis 3 using crossfired 7950s. Ran like a snail, first level was extremely laggy with high input lag as well. Seems to run fine on a single GPU though.
Think im going to put my entire crossfire on the shelve for now and wait til i have the money for a 4830k or something along those lines..

That is exactly what happened to me at first. It took a few cleans with driversweeper first before i sorted it out but I got there. Shame really because I have arranged to sell them both tomorrow in prep for those sexy lightning cards arriving mid week.

Input lag was awful until I ran a clean sweep a few times. Dont know why but It got there in the end.
I've noticed a difference, could be placebo in some games but things like Skyrim, Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 definitely run smoother.
