4070ti Super perf with RT in an Nvidia-sponsored game. Handily beats it in BMW.

We've gone over this :D

Even the AIB's need to come in at under £500 else they wont sell.. the Nvidia mindshare will win again regardless of the performance.

9070XT
AIB - <£500
MBA - <£450

9070
AIB - <£430
MBA - <£380

Looks like 9060/XT will have 8GB VRAM which nobody will buy in 2025, expect those to be under £300.

Thats my thoughts anyway.

The video? Didn't watch the video, no time for floating heads :p

No the post you linked, RT 4070ti super and near 4080s raster in heavy Nvidia optimized game looks very promising to me someone that's budget around 5070 , I don't want 12gb vram also won't be 5070ti FE so will be higher priced

All depends on pricing

Is there any point from anyone with a 6800xt/7800xt upwards to upgrade to RDNA4? Most would probably wait for UDNA or 60 series.

I think if you’re coming from older gens 30 series and 5000 series and before it will be worth it (esp if your cards are <12gb vram).

Stop posting sensible replies. It’s funny watching people post links with data that actually helps refute their own point.

Oh look the 9070 XT only matches a 4070Ti for the same price as a 5070. Then posts a link that totally blows their own argument out of the water. Total facepalm moment.

That link they clearly didn’t understand is showing it allegedly beating or matching a 4070Ti SUPER (not the regular variant they claimed) in heavy RT. It is even getting close to a 4080 Super in normal RT (Wukong has RT on by default).

So in effect if accurate it is about 15% faster than a 5070 IF (I stress IF) those leaks are true.

I'm not really suffering with vram 3080 probably because I rarely play games anymore and at 1440p but it's been 2 years + ? And have itch to upgrade and if something giving bang for buck around £500 and use some of the money from sold 3080

And I really like the look of the MBA 9070xt another worry is if it's power starved too much and AIB sees good increase in performance

It depends on what your expectations are I guess. I went from a 6800 to a 7900GRE and gained decent framerates in a lot of games. To me it was worth it and I expect similar gains from 9700XT. Shiny Shiny and all that :-)

It depends on the games you play really. Think about 25% better in raster and about 35% better in RT games. Possibly even better but I err on the side of caution on any hype.

I think even if it is 15% faster than a 5070 AMD need to price their MBA model noticeably lower by about $50 and have a decent performance increase. So about 20% - 25% better price/perf than Nvidia for both the MBA and AIBs.
