Haha, the "reviewer" has given up and is going to wait for Proper official reviews now. I noticed he was running the GPU at a 30% power limit as well.

Let's hope PcPer get their one soon!

Got to say it does seem very fishy..... I wouldn't be surprised if AMD contacted him...... Especially when all this info was getting deleted on AMD reddit.....

Contacted him and said what though? "Anymore benchmarks and big dong mc schlong our resident gimp mask wearing psycho will be paying you a visit"?

Get the popcorn for that AMD reddit. Things are heating up. But what did people expect? It's how AMD have always operated power hungry cards with terrible drivers. Just buy a 1080ti and be done with it.

Yeah what possible legal grounds could AMD have for preventing someone who has bought one of their GPUs completely legitimately posting benchmarks online?

Would you want someone hot lapping your new sports car if he was not a capable driver and showing it off to be much slower than it is for your first impressions. The guy got so many things wrong. The majority on here would have done a much better job. He seem already to have done damage and if i was in charge of a multi billion dollar company i would be doing everything possible to stop him. If it turns out his benchmarks are on the money then fair enough. Atm it looks like he was a novice.

I believe that is actually 130%, if you slide the slider the other way it goes down -10%, -20% etc, with the centre being 0% aka stock power limit.

Precisely! :D

But in all honesty they could have offered him incentives such as a free PC etc. ;) Either that or someone from AMD has kindly asked him not to share info and he is just obliging their request. All I will say is that Roy has emailed a certain person on here about crossfire etc. issues and given a lot of inside info. to that said person......

Like I said, I just find it very fishy that posts were getting deleted and now this guy has posted what reads like an AMD PR piece saying he won't post any more....

No legal grounds what so ever but potentially could bribe him, e.g. cash + game vega + new PSU etc. The way hs post is phrased really is odd, changed to some official AMD line about waiting for drivers and proper reviews.

the other explanation is as above, he was getting so much grief from frantic fanboys that he hust doesn't want to deal the stress, especially when he knows his system isn't ideal and he isn't an expert so it bound to make genuine mistakes.
Even on OCUK the usual suspects were complaining tat he wasn't using the right drivers when quite clearly he was and the version number matched the latest AMD FE drivers.

the amd sub makes me lol, some of the mods actually work for RTG marketing, as in paid by amd, of course they're going to try and make it look as good as possible.

like how when reddit users were sending/posting death threats to reviewers when ryzen couldn't match Intel in games, notice how they were absolutely fine with that?

anyway, popcorn out! time to watch the sub engulf itself in salt.
