I don't think it will launch at a price point I am willing to pay
There is the slight point that the election has not been the positive for Sterling it could have been. By the time Vega trundles out to an actual shop, you can at least hope the price will have become more reasonable and somehow Sterling is strong this autumn helping prices

I have now ordered a 1080ti.

Prices a lot better than the £800 or so the 1080 launched at and 1080ti initially took its place at.

£630 is still more than I'd have liked to spend but it'll do me for 2 to 3 years.

I played ball with Ryzen in supporting amd, and that's been a fairly frustrating ride. Don't feel like going through it again with them for Vega.

What issues did you face with Ryzen?

Lots of issues with bios and ram compatibility.

It was ok at stock, but overclocking has been a nightmare until relatively recently.

Bios still needs plenty work.
This is one of the reasons why I am being patient and waiting for 7nm Zen2. By then they will have ironed out a lot of things and for sure they will offer better IPC than what I got :D

Zen 2 Ryzen + Navi will be PC Gaming Heaven for me in 2019 :D

I think it's indefensible now. To not show any concrete data about Vega at this point is ridiculous. Known for bad launches, this one is the new low for AMD.

It's times like this I REALLY wish their was a 3rd party who produced GPU's too.

Thats what we need. Cheaper than Nvidia but more reliable than AMD...

I was banking on Computex allowing for the release of Vega as I'm currently GPU'less.

Its a real shame no show for Vega and even more shame for AMD that peeps are now buying 1080ti's
I don't think AMD care to be honest. With the money they are making from Ryzen and the money they will make from threadripper and epyc. And their partner deals. Vega is just a drop in the ocean. Wouldn't be surprised if they sell it off.

I'd rather get the right product and support competition than just jump the gun with childish impatience. Fair enough if you can' wait for some valid reason but for me it seems more like the phone market where people are upgrading on apple's release schedule and then being too impatient to wait for a better or more appropriate product so just buy the market leader choice and complain there isn't competition. I'll see how things are before filling my britches but it doesn't seem like we had enough to go on to see that it's the failure people are suggesting unless I missed something.

Ok, now I am worried.....

I just don't get this..... A 2 year old fury x matches/beats a 1070...

Waited this long and not doing much gaming atm so I can wait a bit longer but with the above, it really isn't looking good now..... Think my days of any "serious" PC gaming are over, hopefully the scorpio will be amazing or/and there is an upcoming epic bundle deal on the ps 4 pro.

I don't realy get this argument about prices. How is MAD offering anything significantly better value than Nvidia right now?

The 1060 is better performance per dollar than the RX580.
