Not that the rest were hugely better but that is one of the poorer maps for visuals the beach especially looks quite basic compared to today's graphics.

Never understood why that game got so popular, possible because it was free (same with mohaa multi being "free" because 2015 messed up the cd key system), imo the RTCW multi was better and the guns worked better, in ET the guns all seemed slowed down to stupid lengths.

Kinda miss those games :(

yeah, maybe its lost some of its looks from being recorded and uploaded to Youtube,
i never played Jaymod just etpro, used to love a good run around the trickjump maps as well, my Mr Men clan had our own TJ map, Mr Men gamma :insertsmugsmiliehere.jpg:

Ah yes, ET Pro. I never knew of these mods. They were fun times ET Pro.

300W TDP and its Passively Cooled, something does not add up here.
No different from Nvidia's PCI-e computing card being passively cooled:

You can't beat the nvidia 480 memes :D

Don't forget first shown card being non-functional fake...

Actually factory OC'd non-reference GTX 1080 Tis draw fully as much power as those heating Fermistors:

People calling high consumption of current generation AMD cards just skip that part when looking at Nvidia.
Though I bet if high end Vega comes with similar performance and consumes 250W they'll be yelling it consuming too much!

Wow, look at the Fury in Furmark! Nuclear power station required!
AMD doesn't do automatic throttling (only throttling based on temps) hence consumption jumping considerably from games to Furmark.

Again Nvidia has had drivers recognize Furmark after Fermi and automatically limit clocks.
Hence occasionally Furmark consumption has been lower than max gaming consumption.

480 was back of pack in terms of performance per watt and you've picked a factory boosted model to compare to the nvidia stock model (apples/bananas springs to mind)?
Look at that stock R9 390 if you want to talk about waste of gaming power. :p

As non-reference models are the most fashionable ones and favoured over reference models nowadays "so rare it's super power" -common sense should tell higher consumption of factory OCs has to be accounted for.
Heck, often people even advertise some particular card basing that you can overclock them more.

Sure sometimes non-reference model with better VRM and without much OC on good GPU die have had lower consumption than reference model, but that's not sensible generalization.
And with huge amount of various namings for non-reference models it's pain in the neck to try to search review for some particular model.

Yeah, few days ago, a competitor site put their product pages up early then pulled them lol.

16GB AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition = £1139, Liquid-Cooled Frontier Edition = £1656.
Cheers, OC have them listed now under the FirePro banner

Seem to be at the RRP prices - £1199.99 & £1799.99 obviously subject to change on launch day.

MSI: ‘Damn, [RX Vega] needs a lot of power’
If it needs that kind of power, it needs to be bring at least 1080Ti performance, which I cannot see why it won't. Unless it really is just designed primarily for compute and gaming side was a afterthought.
