The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

That's a bigger list than i thought. You guys advice to actually buy the Dvd instead of other ways so in thinking of just getting one or two to start me off?

Thanks

if you going to buy Eden of the east. I strongly suggest you buy the "Eden Of The East: The Definitive Collection" as it has the TV series plus the two follow up movies that finish off the story. it work out cheaper to buy the Definitive Collection than buying the TV and movie separately. also if you go to buy summers wars, go for the twin pack version as it has both Summer Wars & The Girl Who Leapt Through Time in it these two movie's are very good.

I have just finished the shinsengumi arc on hakouki (sp?). Really good.

Anyone got any thoughts about sword art online or another swordy magicy stuff.

Sword Art online is pretty reasonable.
Tears to Tiara was ok
I seem to remember the Scrapped Princess was ok, as was Tales of the Abyss and Hack//Sign.
At a push you could argue Fate/Stay Night and Shana both involve magic and fighting.
The Sacred Blacksmith was a bit weak.

Personally I would avoid Tower of Druaga and The Twelve Kingdoms

Just watched my first ever anime that I can say I didn't like at all. Karas what the hell, the start was really cool but after just over an hour of not making sense and trying to hard to be random I lost interest.

Back to rewatching claymore now:D

From what I remember no (it's been a long time since I watched it) ... if you want gentle romance then maybe something like Clannad, but that's not set in a fantasy gaming world.

It doesnt have to be set in a gaming world just an anime with the same fighting and romance as SAO. Been watching accel world but open to some more suggestions for after.

Havent really dissliked an anime so.far.yu yu hakusho was a bit blehh though.

Just finished watching Claymore for the second time, love it very good series.

Ive just ordered two more series which cost me just over £100:eek:
Cowboy Bebop CE 1 and 2 Blueray
Steins Gate 1 and 2 Blueray

I hope I like them for that price I better love it:D

I've got my copy of part 1 & 2 of steins;gate Blu-ray sitting on the self waiting for me to finish what I've started watching, that being FMB Blu ray collection 1 as of Monday as I received collection 2 that day, so once that finish I move on to stein;gate.

@bakes0310 - if you like claymore why not try black lagoon & black lagoon Roberta blood trail, berserk (TV)

I enjoyed Steins;Gate too ... when I went into it I wasn't really sure if I was going to but once in it was very good. Cowboy Beebop ... well if I remember correctly it was one of the first anime series I watched (I remember doing something *cough* naughty, watching the first couple of episodes and then immediately ordering the whole series on DVD).

Watched the first couple of episodes of Walkure Romanze and thought it was god awful unless all you want is fanservice and genre stereotypical events ...

On the upside I did think that the first episode of Galilei Donna was pretty good.

Is the new blu-ray of Bebop a big improvement over the DVD's?
I'm sort of tempted, but I've already got it once or twice :)

penarf, I've got FMA:B part two sat here waiting for me to get a chance to watch it, unfortunately the mutt's been ill the past week or two so I've had almost no anime time :(

Hey peeps,

Not sure why, but the image isn't loading here at the moment

[edit]
running the image url through google image search suggest patlabor 2 (film), but I can't say for sure because I can't see the original picture at all.

I still haven't got around to watching mine yet however the general concensus is that they are a good improvement over the DVDs and have some interesting new extras.

On a different note I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned (I was going to post a while ago) however Patlabor series 1 is out on Blu-ray next month!

well I had FMB collection 1 sitting on the self still in it sealed awaiting for collection 2 to come so that I could watch it all in one go and also to slip collection 2 into the housing slip that came with collection 1. so Monday came and I start watching it so far up to episode 20. once I've finish fmb I watch stein;gate then "high school of the dead with ova" my anime blu ray collection has increase a lot this year. but got plans to buy following either this year or next.
