From memory their subs are ok, not quite as good as AnimEigo, but then no manages them as well (and some of the biggest studios are absolutely disgraceful in their subs - pure white is great on dark scenes, utterly unreadable on light scenes).

I bought the Perfect Vision set with the figure, but not the VHS :)
I actually ended up with two sets due to a mistake in my orders, but sold the second one straight away.

Good, I hope they do a decent job with Claymore.

Bad subs totally ruin an anime, IIRC summer wars has terrible subs mostly all white with with an ultra thin boarder, so bad I haven't got round to watching it to the end. :/ And don't get me started on dubs. :)

As an ex-fansubber I know it''s not that hard to make decent subtitles, even with DVD limitations, Blu-ray should have no excuses.

Can somebody point me to a decent action anime? The one's I've seen / love.

Hunter x Hunter (probs my fave anime)
One Punch Man
My Hero Academia
Parasyte
FMA
Some One Piece
AoT
Ajin
Soul Eater
Claymore (was great up until the last few episodes, it ended up getting super repetitive with the fighting)

There's more but I can't remember. I'm just looking for an anime with great characters and bad*** action. Hunter x Hunter had soo many great moments - the same with One Punch and My Hero Academia. Struggling to pick a decent one since there's so many.

Appreciate the list. I've seen a few of them on there -
Tokyo Ghoul S1
Berserk (old one cant stand the new one)
Gate (if it's that show where all the supernatural creatures come through and attack the city I've watched a few eps)
Godeater

I'll check out the others for sure though, thanks.

Anyone know this movie?

Think it's about a summit or something between the human world and the spirit world. And some spirits trying to destabilise the process.

There is one scene where I think one of the cops takes a "girl" home but she turns into some kind of spider thing while "On the job" and teeth appear where you really don't want them too.

And, I think the guy representing the spirit world, is quite old and short and the brothel he's in gets raided and he just happily cracks on with the job in hand - so to speak.

Ah, also, one of the agents on the spirit side has a weapon that's like a very thin whip that cuts like a blade.

by new one do you mean the three 3 movie version or the new tv series that has started airing few weeks ago.

I think the movie you thinking of is "Wicked City" (Youjuu Toshi)

The new series that started not long back. The ugly 3d puts me right off. Looks good in Ajin but not so great in berserk.

And I've watched clips of the movies. Don't think it's my thing tbh, even the old series from the 90s not that keen on.

Buzzing about the news of Yen Press' special edition limited hard cover of the entire series of Spice and wolf novels in one large hardback volume.

Got announced a few days ago and has just gone up on amazon UK.

Theoretically they will all be numbered and only 2000 made.

Got my preorder in with United Publications as I think they have used either Rightstuf or Rightstuf's supplier and got a bargainous preorder sale price of £67+ postage. Rightstuf is about $110.

Official RRP is $150.

Can't wait as this will be a centre piece in my collection which is admittedly spread across my home and my family's home since I moved out.

Oh and if for any reason anyone is going to New York Comic Con this year the author will be there :)

Oh and I'm also running a Studio Ghibli season with some family and going through all of Ghibli's library, one showing a week :) Started on Kiki's as it is my wife's favourite or one of and just watched Nausicaa on Thursday.
Moving onto Castle in the Sky this coming Thursday (trying to go Chronologically so can see the art/technological development) :)

Hey all. Need some help finding a anime i forgotten the name of.

I remember i think being a sad anime. It has a male lead and he helps a bunch of girls iirc. One scene in particular i can remember is that a girls house is in a state and theirs a garden or yard and he goes each day to clear it up or something. Girl is probably sick or something i dunno or doesnt leave the house.

Anyhow i was hoping u can help identify it. I dont think its clanned, ef, air or kanon as them are the 4 main sad ones i think it would fit in the category.

Argh, I know exactly the anime you're talking about, I would have said Air or Kanon* but you've ruled them out.
IIRC the girl is a genius (didn't have to go to regular classes but would sit in the old library?) or something but her parents died in an air crash, I can picture it and there was I think something about a briefcase of her father's that eventually made it back to her.

I think I've got it on DVD, so I'll try looking through my list and see if it rings a bell.

I don't think it's EF as I watched that fairly recently and can't remember that from it.

*Possibly the original 2002 version

I think the guy has lost his memory but not 100% sure, i think he gets a piece of his memory back after finish helping each girl and theres a bunch of em i think, again maybe these details are of a diff anime to the dude helping a neglected garden scene. I know this sound like kanon but its defo not it as rewatched kanon not long ago and defo didnt have the garden scene im thinking of.

Hmm i think i found the scene i was thinking of but i swear it was maybe a diff show. Turns out it was clannad . Specifically ep 13.
https://animehistory.wordpress.com/2008/01/10/clannad-episode-13/

I must have forgot more of clannad than i thought, as cant recall it being that as i thought clannad was all about a girl and boy and sickness stuff, loved the show but i admit its been awhile and have forgotten a few details about it. I just remember that it had dango stuff and the song everyone probably knows by now in here lol.
