The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Finished Ajin: Demi-Human. It has one of the best villains you'll see in any anime, and a well characterised anti-hero protagonist.

Now watching season 3 of Shingeki no Kyojin.

That's the SRP which they never sell at.
Perhaps but they normally list their pre-order discount and then allow pre-orders on the date and then their normal price at like £40 or something but at the moment it is showing their SRP at the moment, but yeah i'm hoping it's not going to be sold at the SRP..but if it is I may still order it as I do want to own almost all of the Gundam series available from them now with exception of Thunderbolt and G recognista as i've not watch them yet to justify having.
I have now:
Gundam
Gundam 1-3 OVA (new batch)
Zeta Gundam
ZZ Gundam
Char Counterattack(ordered)

That's the SRP which they never sell at.
that just the srp, all the anime.com rarely sells it title's at srp. they do early bird specials, then pre-order price. then once it released they knock it up to or on srp for short time. have look at "Re:ZERO Part 1 - Blu-ray Collector's Edition" on all the anime.com you see it has srp of £59.99 but is sale at £41.99. plus look at the ultimate edition they are selling at price's under the srp with the exception of "Cowboy Bebop, this Ultimate Edition" which mainly due to the fact of it special contain and case that it at the full srp price.

for example the "Escaflowne - Blu-ray Ultimate Edition" had an early bird special price for 2 weeks, then it went to a special pre-order price for few months, then pre-order price for the final weeks before release, then srp or close for few months and then they drop it price to what it is now.

I'm currently torn between either buying all three elements of gundam wing as they are released or hold out for the ultimate edition.

Loads of people unaccounted for too and apparently they had an onsite daycare for staff with family.

Sentai filmworks has started a fundraiser on gofundme to help kyoto Ani get back on its feet. It has $500k goal and in 3 hours its hit $147k so seems the anime community is rallying.

Shocking act and loss of life first and foremost but it also seems like they may have lost a tonne of work from projects they were working on including the Violet Evergarden movie and Kobayashis Dragon Maid season 2

Not seen it mentioned here but Anime Ltd posted on their blog 3 days ago their disk replacement program for Re:Zero Part 1 BD Collectors Edition which apparently suffers from image quality issues

https://blog.alltheanime.com/rezero-comes-to-standard-edition-blu-ray-this-august/

(Yes the article is titled for their August release of the standard edition but also includes details on the replacement program too ...)

I read but the replacement disc program has change from what it use to be. now you need to send your disc back to them first before they send replacements out. so if they lost in post you could be screwed. I own part 1 collection, haven't gotten around to watching yet so don't know if I should risk it.

Well, given that they said they weren't doing the replacements to mid to late August maybe you can watch it first just in case. I'm not surprised that they are asking for the disks back given that it does appear to be a bit subjective whether people think its a problem or not.

Was looking at what of my series were related to Kyoto Animation

This doesn't include things like the multiple other media versions of Clannad and multiple copies of things like Kanon, Lucky Star, MoHS, FMP, etc

Yeah, I have several KyoAni products still on my (now much reduced) shelving. I was sad to see the news; its a horrid way to go regardless of why or if any of the people working there deserved to suffer somehow; I am glad they caught the person who did it; but that doesn't bring back any of the 30+ people who died, many of whom were probably nice, hardworking people just trying to make a living. Reading more about them, KyoAni seem to be one of few animation companies in Japan that pays a proper salary also, so even worse that a company like that should suffer.

Even assuming the next Hitler had worked there, that doesn't justify the loss of so many others needlessly and in such a horrid manner. I hope they recover, both as people, a team, and as a company; I am glad to see the support in the community. The internet can be a very toxic thing, but in this case, there seems to be a massive outpouring of support which is a nice change...
