The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

I’ve been watching that ******* Sword one on Netflix.

Oo err it’s quite saucy isn’t it.
It's a remake of a 1992 Anime based on a Manga from 1988 and the correct term your looking for is Ecchi lol. I keep meaning to watch this, saw the first few episodes and was going to pick it up again but i was already watching a fair few shows so i put it on the backburner.

Some interesting series this season (a fair bit of murder) Currently watching:

Vinland saga Season 2 (Continuing)
Konosuba - AN explosion on this wonderful world
Dr Stone
Ancient Magus Bride Season 2
Hells Paradise
A Galaxy Next Door
My Home Hero
Demon Slayer Swordsmith Arc
Edomae Elf

Good start to Demon Slayer though half the episode felt like filler, it's at it's best when it gets more serious.

At least we had some story progression as well so not complaining too much. The comedy side of it never really did much for me, despite that still has some amazing fights and some fun moments.

As is tradition it tends to tick up in tempo as the season goes along, so hoping for more of the same :)

@Raymond Lin did you see anything anime related on your trip? I think you said you saw some Shinkai stuff last time.

Sorry for the brief answer the other day, I was still in heavy jet lag, and wrote the minimum to say what i did.

Basically, I kinda did the thing I advice people not to do, over planned and over packed my trip. Partly blame JAL for this causing me to lose basically 24hrs that i would have had. Ended up switching airlines and landed in the evening instead of 7am and left at 10am instead of 10pm.

Also, I am at a low swing on anime content at the moment. You know how it is, some months you watch loads and some months you lose interest for a while. I am at a lower slump for it when i went and was more interested in photography so did't dedicate much time for anime stuff. I did buy a couple of Art Books, one on Totoro and one for Castle in the Sky.

The Shinkai exhibition i saw before was caught totally by chance. Saw a poster when i got off at the wrong station and by happenstance it was just 25mins walk away so i went. This time though, i don't think i had that time because i seriously over planned. The last day i spent dashing around Tokyo checking out all the shopping that i probably would have done over 3 days leisurely in the space of 12 hours. Shinjuku, Shibuya, Shin Okubo, Akihabara and didn't even get a chance to go to Sun Shine City, even though i stayed in Ikebukuro. But I did find out a couple of things.

1 - 6th floor in Shibuya PARCO is great, it's where the Nintendo store is, where a Pokemon center is, also a Shonen Jump store, a Capcom store.

2 - The basement in Tokyo station has something call "Character Street", where there are lots of merch, Ghibli Store etc.

3 - Ghibli stores has VERY little plush, like zero, well, they had 1 for sale but it was too expensive and for display i think. Apart from keychain plush, they had nothing, nothing the size of a water melon. The Skytree store was the largest one and even that wasn't that big.

The flower pot thing were the best thing in the store actually.

I did go to Gundam Factory.

Kotobukiya had a large Totoro but i already have this one.

Ah no worries! I wasn't concerned by the brevity of your reply at all. It was just a random question that popped into my head as I saw your stuff I ate in Japan post and thought I'd ask whilst I still remembered to do so!

Yeah I've been struggling more lately to find good stuff to watch, I've seen so many of the shows I wanted to, that finding new ones that interest me gets more and more difficult. Mostly just watching new seasonal stuff.

Japan also has a lot more to offer than just anime stuff as well, if I ever went I think I'd want to see other things as well rather than just otaku shops.

I sometimes watch the Tokyo Lens videos on Youtube, he does a lot of things that are more in the travel sector than anything else, and always fun to see new places that way :)

You know what, because of his channel, I made a special trip up to this 2nd hand store in Kyoto call Ark Recycle to check it out. It's VERY out of the way from everything! It is as busy as he says it is, even saw a couple of foreigners checking the store out too.

A son born out of wedlock for the first word then sword ^^

Be warned I had to turn the sound down incase the daughters overheard hah
Thanks, I've watched 3 or 4 episodes last night.

First 2 episodes, I was thinking this isn't Ecchi at all...then ep 3 came and went....Ahhhhhhh.

But I am not hooked, it's far too silly, made for teenage boys who hasn't got into hentai yet I feel. Perhaps I've got too used to Baki level of graphic violence so this seems very PG in comparison.

I think i will try something else, the story itself isn't that great either.

Oshi No Ko what a ride that 1st episode was. I say 1st episode but it's more like a film at about 80 mins long for a prologue episode.

You think it's one thing, and it morphs into something else entirely. I won't spoil it in case anyone else has it on their watch list, but it's definitely worth a try.

Beautiful animation as well I thought.

TBH Jessie from Team Rocket is enough to get me going lol

I haven’t watched much anime.

This was more background noise.

Most of the stuff I have watched would probably get looked down on or not considered anime. Mostly Western.
