I only watch throw away anime in dub, when I’m lazy and want something in the background whilst I multi task and do other things like building Lego or Gunpla in front of the TV, look up once in a while go see the action.

Shinkai stuff are all watched in subtitles.
 
Gotta agree with @Kyo and @HungryHippos , i watch everything subtitled as it puts the emotion and fits the scenes better. American dubs just sound wrong and uncomfortable to me.

The only dub i've ever prefered over the subs is Black Lagoon. The original sounds off but the Dub is on point

Yeah really like Oshi no Ko.

There are a few tiny "oh Japan being japan" moments (you know what im referring to @HungryHippos lol) But it has a whole mix of emotions and themes and it seems to be turning into something good especially after the end of the 1st episode, which was 80-90mins long.

Was busy yesterday so didn't get a chance to reply, but yeah I agree, I'm liking it so far and the direction we're going in even after the epilogue episode.

Lol yeah anime being anime is definitely a thing!
 
Just checked out to see what the hype was for Re Zero. Wow pretty good Isekai series but with a twist. Can't wait to see where this story lead to.
 
I'm watching Fire Hunter, it's got a very interesting sort of dystopian dark fantasy story going on, but it's so let down by the production quality, especially with the action sequences.

If this was made by Wit, or Mappa, or any other big name, it would probably be an instant classic.
 
Recently finished Mob Psycho. I'm so glad I pushed through the odd art style (it took a couple of attempts) because it ended up being an amazing series.

On season 2 of Demon Slayer which is pretty good.
