The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

See there a live one piece movie coming out. Never watched it before so have no idea about the anime but this looks cheesy.

Agreed it does not look very good, some how it feels like a cheap ripoff.
The Idea could have been good but without a large budget it will not work, a lot of CGI and good acting is needed to pull it off, maybe they should try something a bit more basic.

Ill stick with the manga and anime

I'm watching Neon Genesis Evangelion (tv series) on Netflix. I'm really enjoying it so far

Make sure you watch the End of Evangelion movie after the series.

I prefer the series itself over the rebuild films, which also completely lost me in movies 3 and 4.

The rebuild film are an alternate timeline, so won't spoil the main series you're watching.

Finish Swordsmith Arc on Demon Slayer.

Meh, forgettable arc, the only thing learned in this is the final twist in the last episode about Nezuko but that's it. They introduced two Hishira, but not sure if they will even come back again later on or we are going to see any of the swordsmiths ever again.

I actually really enjoyed it. I dont think it was as good as the previous but thought it was good. I did like some of the things it has now introduced. Its no Mugen Train but the end almost did have me bawling tho..

I am not sure tho if i have missed something or that i have just forgotten.

i speculated with a friend in the first season that Tanjiro would end up being some sort of top level uber hashira that he would be able to use multiple forms from multiple disciplines apart from the water form he has in the beginning. In the last season i can only remember him using the water form but in this season he used the sun form.

Seems the Spice and wolf announcement a year ago is a remake of the original series initially. Announcement dropped today. It's being remade with the original VA's and apparently in the 2nd season they animated volume 3 and 5 of the novel, skipping volume 4, it turns out that volume 4 was fundamental for the end of the story 10+ volumes later and they shouldn't have skipped it.

Considering they are remaking the whole lot to add in somethign that was missing looks promising that they will continue the story once the remake and missing material is done

That is awesome news, I vaguely remember when I first watched the TV series thinking it felt like it had skipped something, then reading the books and noticing new stuff.

It's been feeling over the last couple of years like they've been going back to a number of the titles that were cut short around the time of the NA anime crash and starting anew, or giving a second season 10 years later.

This will either fade into obscurity like the Cowboy bebop adaptation if it's done poorly.
The Knights of zodiac movie didn't even last a week in screening in America and Japan, there has already been an announcement of it going straight to blu-ray or digital in July.

I'll watch it but I actually wasn't that fussed on the original show, but I'll see how the new season is.

Frieren is getting an adaptation which should be good. Loosely it's about an elf girl who outlives everyone in her party.

What is everyone checking out next season? my list to try/see so far:

Finally after all these years a new Gundam Seed Sequel coming out.

Gundam Seed Freedom

Also new Gundam CGI TV series coming too.

Am working my way (slowly) through some of the UC stuff, I'm up to ZZ.

It's a shame that it seems like Witch from Mercury may not get another season, given how quickly they zoomed the ending of the one that just finished. Damn!

Watching Tokyo Ghoul (Uncensored) again! Still damn good even today

Season 1 was pretty good, but they ruined the rest of it...

I am waiting eagerly, but also avoiding news as much as possible as I will either love or hate the new series. I really enjoyed the original, and I hope they capture the medieval feeling well, and also the wordplay and chemistry between the two main characters!

i tried to go through some of the OG shows like ZZ but it was hard to watch considering how old they are.

I would personally focus on the new shows and new alternative arcs. If u want to catch up on the story i would rather watch Gundam Origins movies - focuses on the rise of Char/Zeon and also intro Amuro Ray at the start of the Original series.

ps go for subbed not that dubbed awful acting lol

UC shows I personally recommend watching specifically:
Core content which is minimum to watch to understand UC era:
Gundam Origins
OG Gundam -> You could watch it as the 3 part OVA that is on Netflix still, more condensed and some slightly newer animated scenes
OG Gundam Dorian island -> Not available digitally but it fills a gap in some event of OG Gundam but not completely mandatory
Z Gundam
Char's counterattack
Unicorn Gundam
Gundam Hathaway

Side content:
8th MS team
Thunderbolt
ZZ Gundam
etc

ZZ and other UC shows all link up but you don't necessarily need to watch them to know what happens up to Char's counterattack.
ZZ Gundam if you finish Z gundam and would like to see the story of Haman Khan(featured in Z Gundam)

Progress:

Movie trilogy for OG Gundam (complete)
Main series for Z (complete)
Main series for ZZ (wprking on it)

I agree some of it's a bit too old-school for me to truly enjoy, but I'm on hard mode and will watch it to better appreciate the newer stuff/side content.

After Char's counter attack I think it should pick up a bit as Unicorn is meant to be good.

Not sure it late UC timeline stuff is necessarily required?

The only late UC timeline I'm aware of is just Hathaway at the moment?
Which part 1 is really good and worth watching since it's on Netflix as well.
I've been meaning to get around to watching ZZ myself because Haman Khan is my fav female char from the franchise, but it's the initial hurdle of getting through the first 17 episodes or something that is all comedic?

Yep it's pretty comedy ish but it's not entirely comedy. I'm like 7 or 8 episodes in and it's got some silly moments.

Make sure to watch 0083, if you haven't seen it. It's in the UC timeline but it's own little story arc. Absolutely amazing and Gundam at its best imo.
