The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Yes it's missing something that the other seasons had, though I don't know what it is.

It's not like it's terrible or anything it's just missing some of that hype I had in the Entertainment Arc.

I'm enjoying the sword arc, i'm watching it in a bulk of 2 episodes a week, so i'm waiting for episode 8 to drop before I watch episode 7.
I've started watching Saint Seiya Omega, really enjoyed the original anime. So far the first 5-6 episodes were a bit boring but it's finally picking up after the 7th episode.
Ironically the live action film was apparently pulled out of Cinemas in Japan and maybe in the US as well after its initial release.

All the Anime have definitely Aimed for the Top.

They've gone and done it, they've announced Gunbuster on BD for the UK :D:D:D

also a bunch of other releases including Macross Plus movie edition at the cinema, which hopefully means a BD release with both Movie and OVA's later on, and I think is the first Macross title to get a release here in years, so hopefully more to follow.

I watched Gunbuster recently, little dated but can see the early beginnings of NGE, was a pretty good watch. Reminded me a little of Interstellar with the time stuff as well.

I'm watching the trilogy of the original Gundam movies at the moment, these are even more dated but I'm interested in where the more recent mainline Gundam stuff goes, so need to watch some of the older content.

They have announced releasing Macross and Plus last year, its about time something Macross was announced from them.

Its worth it,the Universal Century timeline is amazing and the pay off when you get to Unicorn or Hathaway will be worth it.

From what I can tell (not having seen the anime) it's holding true to the manga where there was an arc with the main character
trying to be a bit of a pacifist because he was basically sick of killing and IIRC disillusioned with the whole revenge thing after finding out some truths, and becoming a slave.
