Ok, Mawaru Penguindrum is a little odd, and quite funny(just watched the first few episodes).
Although I do wish Kaze would do song subs.
I thought that it was a good series but it did feel to me like it got a bit confused with itself at times .... Loved the penguins though, very Madagascar ...
Well I watched the extras disc on the K-on movie last night.No English songs by the voice actresses,thank God 
A few promo clips of the launch in Japan with the girls on a red DD bus.Most of the clips etc. were subbed
Not a lot of interest for me,extras that is,watch once or skim and never look at again,but better than nowt I suppose for those that like that sort of thing

Watched the BD release of the K-On movie earlier ... I do like it as a film although it is one which really needs to you to have seen the series' in order to understand all that is going on.
With the extras ... yep they are really of the watch once and ignore sort of thing (like most I find).

Hmm so Girls und Panzer...not really sure what to think. Of course the tanks are remarkably well drawn etc but the premise for the story is beyond comprehension.

I won't be getting the K-on movie until next month (I had to do a damage control exercise just over a week ago as a figure I wasn't expecting until the end of this month came early, so I merged it along with another high cost item with a item that isn't due until early next month to avoid any unauthorised overdraft charges from my bank), but it should give me enough time to go through both series before it arrives (that would be after I've gone through sound of the sky).
Aye, it does seem a bit confusing at times, one of the things I like is how the Penguins seem to take on aspects of the person they've attached to/shadowing, so 1 is a little pervy and a ladies penguin, and 3 gets the little bow and starts to take up knitting etc.
You can also see connections to other work by the creators, for example there are scenes that strongly echo Utena, and Sailor Moon (I think, I've not actually watched sailor moon and only know rough details from clips and things......).
I think when the second half season set comes out I'll have to try and sit down and watch it start to finish paying full attention to it (god knows if I'll get time for that though - it seems I've always got a backlog these days, and the next few months are hectic for new DVD's).

New model arrived today.
She is Yui Takamura Eishi from the Visual Novel and Anime series Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse (Battle mechs vs giant monsters, the first game is pretty bloody, cute girls being eaten alive.
)
There are two other girls coming in the next month or two which once put together, looks really sweet.

Total Eclipse was ok but nothing exceptional, wished it kept the tone for the first three eps more .

No kidding, the first two episodes was totally awesome then it went down hill fast, really fast.
Too much human action really and not enough battles with the BETA. I still love the series but it really could had been something a lot better.

When I herd the premise and watched the first couple of eps I was hoping for a more "Blue Gender" type of show (one of my all time fav's) the route it did go while good was executed in such a way that it will end up in the "good/watchable but Im not going to watch it again" pile
arh blue gender, I do remember it well stopping up in the early hours of the morning watching Neon Genesis Evangelion, Blue Gender and Martian Successor Nadesico anime block when it came on the scifi channel after midnight.

Watched this ,this evening and while I was messing with the audio tracks I noticed that it showed the audio tracks as ENG1 and ENG2 but one of these was the Japanese audio track
Glitch on the disc?or player(we both have Panasonic multiregion players right?)
Can you or someone else check your disc please

After avoiding Eurovision by ... erm ... watching a recording of a Japanese Pop concert ... saw your post ...
Yep, dug out my disk and dropped it in (then took it out set the BD region correctly and tried again ...) ... 2ENG is the Japanese audio track whilst 1ENG is the English audio for me. Looks like the audio track was labelled incorrectly during authoring at a guess, works find though and unless you are looking it's not something that is noticeable for normal playback.
Yeah plays fine ,only noticed by accident wanted the Japanese audio and it was saying ENG
Got around to finally finishing Bodacious Space Pirates.Enjoyed this and the ending was ok.Hope for another season.(possible movie in 2014?)

Every year there's an anime that just blows you away, if it was Claymore or something else, now it's Shingeki no Kyojin.
Just watched Shingeki no Kyojin episode 7 and if i could swear for real I would, it was so **** GOOD!
Claymore is awesome, still can't believe it hasn't got a second, third and fourth season yet since the Manga is till on-going.
It's been rather a long time since it finished for it to get a new season
Although having said that, it seems that Ah My Goddess* keeps getting OVA's (and a pity they don't seem to be getting licensed).
Deadman wonderland is up for pre-order now at various places
*It's taken me a year to read the first 9 volumes of the manga
(although I'm doing better with that than Genshiken and Love Hina).
