The Apprentice - Series 8

Couldnt believe that Jade didn't go... I smell a bit of BBC meddling for good TV.

She obviously has a decent business plan to still be in it after that performance, if I were Sugar I'd have sacked both of them... but it seems like half of the time Sugar just randomly sacks someone who he doesn't like for whatever reason.

Im from Romford so it was mildly more interesting and Smell what sells is one of the better tasks they do each year.

Its like all reality shows now, they pick people on other agendas and not how they perform on the day.

The editing is, as ive said before, overpowering.

Really surprised about this as well, jade was utterly useless as a project leader. It was cringe worthy at the start where they spent ages working out where to go and had no sort of strategy.

Although Azhar seemed to be trying to provoke her a bit by constantly bringing up strategy in every phone call, that got quite tiresome.

Jade really should've been the one to go though imho.

I think what you have to bear in mind is that this is a programme purely for entertainment purposes. They're all pretty much unemployable for all sorts of different reasons, and anyone who was of any decent calibre, would not be looking to go into business with someone like Sugar.

That said, previous years have been entertaining, but I've found this year to be utter drivel.

This is what I'm beginning to think.
There might be some comedy gold moments in the up-coming episodes, especially if Jade is PM, again.

I think its good telly if they keep in a weak candidate or 2. ;)

Yeah, its getting really tiresome when they constantly edit in a different reaction to a joke or whatever. Surely everyone can see through this and knows its just bad editing by now.

Yes, Azhar has been a bit useless. But I think she should have got Laura in with her instead of Tom.

I'm glad she didn't as I have a feeling she would have gone over Azhar and she's the last decent looking girl :D.

Thought last week's food task was a bit stupid in that LS bangs on about "quality" food but it is a one-day thing so there is no real incentive to worry about quality. If you were starting up a proper business then you'd want repeat custom, word of mouth etc, but for the task at hand I actually thought Adam had the right idea in terms of keeping costs down. Shame Katie went as I thought she was one of the stronger candidates.

For me the best candidate so far is clearly Tom, he seems quite perceptive and can often spot flaws or issues with plans, has a creative streak, happy to do the numbers and has his own business at a young age "I'm only 23!" (c) Alex

I'm about ten minutes into this and I'm embarrassed to be watching it and there's not even anyone here with me. It's just rubbish these days.

I'm enjoying the little strings soundtrack more than anything else. It's that bad.

Yep, terrible year this year. The tasks are rubbish, the contestants are poor and almost half of each program is boardroom.

I think the program took a turn for the worst when it was revealed that people were applying with their ideas for a business. It shows that he is more interested in the business than the person who is submitting it generally.

Not even watching "you're fired" this season either!
