The Asus X99 Deluxe Owners Thread

Just upgraded my pc today, now have 5960K and the deluxe motherboard. I updated the BIOS to the newest one on the website, 801 I think. Everything I have tested so far is working fine and temps are about the same as my 4790. The leftmost RAM socket is very close to the big white block on the left.
Just got to install 1.6GB of updates now!

What ram are you using?

I do and with an air cooler, it is REALLY tight (and by that I mean that they're against each other).


Has anyone else noticed higher temps on 904? Not sure about switching to it yet
 
I think deply means where to fit in within his case. I believe there's a mount for it go within one of the hard drive cages.

If you mean on the motherboard, Wiry's right.
 
im just confused to why they supply 4 screws and two angled brackets I suppose I could use double sided foam and mount it anywhere
 
why not just drill some good old fashioned hole and mount it where you want it?

or use double sided tape/velcro etc

odd thought that it doesnt line up with a drive bay. that would have been the obvious thing to do.
 
Not too sure in that case, pardon the pun, maybe get in touch with someone at Asus if possible and see what they recommend?

I'd like to know what you do anyway, planning on getting the Deluxe myself.
