All over the world...
Blimey VDV does talk a lot of crap doesnt he??:p...sorry until dodgy 'arry wins a few CL titles, a few league titles and not just with one team then he can make a comparison....sounds like sour grapes to me from VDV....he obviously wasnt good enough for Mourinho so he got shipped out to a team where he could shine.

Sounds like Harry has the easiest job in the league, get somebody else to do tactics, somebody else to do the training and just tell them 'to have fun' before a game

I was thinking that but VDV was there till end of August wasn't he, not sure if he played but would have been training and been involved in pregame talk up till he left.

But here in lies the reason why Redknapp can't win anything, sure sending your boys out to do there best works now and then. But the team also lacks discipline and gets ripped apart by BOLTON. Spurs are doing worse in the league, dropping points they probably wouldn't have dropped last year and without some tactical awareness and proper discussion thats the difference between 1st and 4th.

Yeah, when the other team falls apart and plays to your strengths like Inter did, you can win, though they lost one game and won one, it doesn't always work. For every reason they won in the second, being open, no real plan, no tactics, were the same reasons they lost the away leg, no real plan, no tactics, no ideas.

Same goes in the league, they are losing/drawing as many games as they are winning with their "open free play approach".

If you have a certain quality of players, even without much management at all they will still play well, and its the more intense training and tactics that TAUGHT VDV how and where to play in the first place.

Spurs seemingly have a worse record than I thought in the league, 5 wins, 4 draws, 4 losses, 1 goal difference, with only 18 scored, 17 conceded. Thats with a 4 goal game just gone, till then they, like City, had scored less than all 3 promoted teams, still scored less than Newcastle and Blackpool.

We're doing badly because we have 11 players out.

Rubbish, same as Arsenal's often used excuses.

Sorry but, 11 players out means next to nothing when you can play 8 or 9 of your first choice anyway. In any given game MOST teams will be missing one of their best players, thats life.

Utd have pulled in the highest points tally in the past 8 games, by not losing, despite having no right back to speak of, playing Carrick, Rooney being off upset about being caught banging some other bird, etc, etc.

You have Defoe out, who arguably would be starting, King is simply never fit, anyone using him as an excuse would be daft, same goes for woodgate, would Bassong actually be first team right now, he's made a lot of mistakes this year, Corluka's out, but Hutton's playing much better than he would be anyway.

VDV, Modric, Bale, Huddlestone maybe as the first choice midfield. Ok Huddlestones injured, but till now he hasn't been. I guess you might count Lennon as midfield and VDV as the second striker, fine, Lennon's been crap since he got injured, Defoe wasn't in fantastic scoring form before his injury, Pav is fit, is scoring, but rarely starts, not due to injury.

Arsenal often have a full team out injured, problem is often is not starters, Fabregas has been in and out of the team, Ramsey also but Ramsey rarely played and in the current setup, probably wouldn't. Diaby is injured, but wouldn't start. RVP has been available for 3-4 games, yet, hasn't played much, same for Bendtner.

Basically all teams have injuries, get over it, Spurs have played badly, and often looked clueless, with a more or less first team out on the pitch.

If you had 5-6 people who were on form, starting every game and key men who were out, you'd have an excuse, but, meh.

Gomes

Ekotto, Gallas, Kaboul, Hutton

Bale, Modric, Huddlestone, Lennon

VdV, Defoe/pav/crouch.

If thats your prefered starting line up, I see VERY few injuries, exactly what most teams in the league have to cope with, and utterly nothing to complain about.

Sorry but Woodgate and King can't be considered missing starters, thats like Utd complaining about ONE loss because Hargreaves was missing that weekend, you've had 10 years to replace King, get over that excuse.

SO the defence is there, the midfield has been available almost every game this season, the offence has been available almost every game this season. Would Defoe start every single game if he was fit, even if Crouch/VDV was working better, no he wouldn't, nor is there anything stopping Pav starting more games.

Lampard would be like missing Modric, VDV or Bale to injury(depending on who you consider the best player in your squad) for EVERY game so far, missing a good portion of your assists and goals. Honestly Spurs haven't had a single "Lampard" type loss to their squad at all this season.
