18 years a go to the date we won the FA Cup against United... today our manager is at United's training ground.

I did wonder with the Spurs fans talking about Arsenal's lack of silverware since 2005 if I'd missed something and Spurs had been winning some stuff also but all I can see is a Carling Cup win 5 years ago

Even Wigan are in a better place to gloat than Spurs based on that, at least they won the proper cup :p

:D:D...its all good with people taking the mick out of Arsenal and us not winning a trophy for the past 8 yrs or so. I just find it hilarious when people come back with that line, its boring now and yes we havent won a trophy due to our financial constraints with the new stadium and paying it off. But one thing we are is consistent, consistently qualifying for the CL for the past 16 yrs now. Something the Spurs havent been able to achieve in the last 16 yrs and probably wont do as they dont tend to hang onto their managers for long:p

Maybe just maybe next year we can bag a trophy, all depending on what Wenger and Arsenal do in the transfer window. Need to get shot of a few players as well and replace them with better players.

Di Canio on warpath with Sunderland players again. He will lose the dressing room very fast at this rate.

Guy is a nutcase, had to mute the TV when he was ranting and raving again. He really makes no sense in all honesty but its funny seeing him go off on one.

Dont think he will be at Sunderland for long judging by his track record recently...think he has some anger issues as i can see him doing a 'Mancini' on one of his players:p

I reckon Di Canio could whip them into a good team if he gets the support he needs and has the funds to buy / sell a few players. Hes a passionate manager and that bubbles over quite often but most of what he is saying is true.

For teams outside the top 7-8 I think it is much more important to have the right manager and attitude than having a couple of good players. It does sound like there are loads of players in mid-lower table who know they will never earn big bucks or be star players so they take their huge pay cheques and then neglect the football side of their jobs.
