fifa is corrupt is it not? what makes you think uefa isn't corrupt as well? a few free holiday's to dubai, free use of their planes, hotel's etc and im pretty sure they will overlook such small matters as stadium naming rights, etc.

that's how everything works these days, the UK government is also extremely corrupt, if you own a company and donate a million pounds or something to the Labour campaign and Labour get in power, guess what your company now gets government contracts worth hundreds of million every year even though your overcharging compared to your nearest competitor by at least 25%.

There is nothing wrong with the deal though. So it doesn't make a difference if UEFA are corrupt or not.
The deal will be water-tight and would have been drafted by some of the best in the business to make sure that it cannot be disregarded by UEFA.

Neither City or Etihad would have entered an agreement which has the possibility of being closed by UEFA and becoming worthless.

The deal is if reports are true at market value. If it was 100m a season then it would be shutdown straight away but it won't be. The deal will be at market value so it doesn't upset anyone much like the other few sponsorship's we have eg Jaguar, Ferrostaal, Etisalat and Umbro.

Are you trying to say that the market value to sponsor City's stadium and shirt is ~£30m per year?

I think a lot of the **** you get on here is undeserved but you don't do yourself any favours at times.

Thing is though, the Qatar foundation paid 30 million euros a year just to sponsor Barca's shirts. Yes they are the 'best' team in the world right now, but they aren't competing in any more competitions than the top 4 of the Premiership, for example.

Man Utd recently agreed a shirt sponsorship deal of 20 million pounds per year - and again yes they are a bigger 'brand' but they are still competing in exactly the same competitions.

Not saying that the announced deal isn't a lot, but given the teams which City are aiming to challenge and emulate and their recent sponsorship deals the amount doesn't seem astronomical.
