Tummy, if you need support I suggest: http://www.talktofrank.com/

:p

Haha!

I find these lists horrible and trivial anyway.

I mean, if you ask me to name the top three forwards in the World, I can offer my opinion.

I don't like 'general' lists though, because defenders are always missed out due to attacking players getting more attention.

In future they should do a best player over all award, and a top three for the four general positions on the pitch. Forward, Midfield, Defence, Goalkeeper.

Now I await for someone to jump all over me for not including specific roles within those afformentioned positions :p.

I know all the Ronaldo lovers will jump all over me, but I wouldn't have him in my top three.

I'd have Messi, Iniesta and Xavi as my top three.

Do you want someone to jump on you.

I also expect it's got something to do with PR companies, voting for people that are part of the same group.

That too, hadn't considered it... it would be a shame if that is the case however.

I expect this is the case, you vote for whomever is the most high profile member being represented by your PR company.

I think voting for team mates and friends will happen too, but the PR company can put huge pressure on you.

No, I don't think they're mental, I can understand maybe him being in everyone's top two, if not their first choice but people leaving him off completely is mental.

That's true.

I'd have voted; Messi, Iniesta and Xavi. In that order too I think.

Ronaldo is over rated :p.

I would, I don't think (personally) there is much glory to be had in buying a competition or playing ugly, unambitious football.

Ronaldo's a good player, but he's just not anywhere near Messi. This year Xavi and Iniesta have been utterly fantastic too.

On form I think Ronaldo is about as good as Messi, just in a different way. Messi is part of a really magnificent, dynamic attacking team, where as Real Madrid are a bit of a mess (especially at the moment).

I'd agree with that, performance and stats-wise they have been very evenly matched until this season when Messi has simply gone goal crazy while Ronaldo has been part of a misfiring Real side.

Ronaldo = Physically superior
Messi = Technically superior

And to answer the question earlier in the thread, if Messi and Xavi had children they would produce an Iniesta.

Big news (apparently) about Scottish football restructuring and making 2 desperate premier leagues. It just means 2 **** leagues instead of one spreading the shrinking tv money even further.

They either put Rangers and Celtic in the same league and have the other league completely ignored (more so than they will be ignored anyway) or spread them into different leagues and have 2 boring cakewalks and one interesting "marquee" match up of league winners against each other once a year.

Strikes me as a dying league in its final death throes (not meaning to be too harsh :p)

Ronaldo is better in my opinion because he could walk into any team and improve it massively and instantly. Messi doesn't have that quality, he has to have the correct team around him to work his magic. It's pretty obvious when you see them both in international games for their respective teams. Messi in an Argentina shirt is pretty average.
