***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Ha! Check me cheeky edit.

I can but the third slot would be at x4 so i would lose about 5% or so performance according to my testing on a x16x4 board. Eventually id have to upgrade the mobo but id still see a nice gain in the meantime. I could pickup a P8P67 WS Deluxe i think which has x8 x8 x8.

I know it's got the slots but does it explicitly support trifire?

According to this, yes.

Quad-GPU SLI and Quad-GPU CrossFireX Support!

ATI crossFireXNVIDIA SLI ReadyFlexible Multi-GPU solutions, Your Weapon of Choice!
P8P67 Deluxe brings multi-GPU configurations through both SLI™ and CrossFireX. This motherboard features the powerful Intel® P67 platform, optimizing PCIe allocation in multiple GPU setups. Expect a brand new gaming sensation like you’ve never experienced before!

That could mean two, two GPU cards though. Have you got another 7950 you've got access to to test? Interested as my board is a similar situation to your own.

I don't im afraid.

Designed for true power users, the P8P67 WS Revolution uses a built-in NF200 controller that enhances bandwidth availability between the board and the four graphics card expansion slots. This is ideal for NVIDIA GeForce SLI™ and AMD CrossFireX™, as the new motherboard can easily handle 2-Way SLI in dual PCI Express X16, while 3-Way SLI works in dual PCI Express X8 and one X16 link. This translates into a 26.4% performance increase compared to regular P67 motherboards with similar SLI configurations, as measured by 3DMark06. For CrossFireX, the P8P67 WS Revolution supports up to quad GPUs builds in PCI Express X8 links, unlike standard motherboards, which lack the bandwidth to do so.

Stop thinking about me in a bath you weirdo. :D

If anything im edging towards a 290X but most likely ill stick with what ive got or add a third 7950. No other option makes financial sense and or performance sense.

your sensible now?
what happen? did your misses kick your you know stuff?
:D

I wait until dust settles, december with Mantle.

He's also been talking rubbish about how he doesn't care about his PC aesthetics.

I stopped caring once i took out that damn side window and stuck 4x120mm blue led fans on the side. Fire and forget. What i can't see won't hurt me. :D

Good point. Maybe i was being a bit hasty. Forgot about Mantle.

Not quite sure what is happening, running the beta on crossfire 7950's @ 1100/1500 and the game is nicer to play in windowed mode. Around about the same frames if not a little more as when using both cards they only run at 60% each!
Before the update I saw my cards running at 80% each on an 3570K.
Currently only getting 30-60 FPS, well un-optimized!

Cpu bottleneck, coupled with game running crappy on i5's, especially those ones on W7.

New 13.11 drivers just released as well if you want to try them. :)

Well came home from work, slammed in the W8 disc and got cracking. Just did a round and performance on the face front is looking much, much better. No stuttering, no rubber necking and no clear drops in framerate :)

Nothing we didn't know already, but it's clear Windows 7 SP1 isn't very well optimised for this game.
(yet)
