***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Will do sir, better be a good un' otherwise I ain't buying premium and I'll just play metro on BF3 :p

I've had no stat issues either, though /r/gaming is diverse enough it could be a console error...

Any idea if origin will still let me pay in pesos :D

Think I'll be picking this up, the map is much much more diverse now, functioning elevators and a few sneaky side passages up to B. It all round just looks better too tbh, as mentioned the blue filter is gone, the atmosphere looks a great deal better with the bits of roof etc... missing. Impressed.

Around A looks a little more open too? any changes to the back end of the map around the start point on BF3 metro rush?

I take it HC is fully functioning now then? Haven't tried it since first week of release.

^another weapon bug I've had recently which I've just remembered is one of the start out sniper rifles, when the clip gets down to 3 rounds and you try fire again, it acts like the clip is empty and reloads, soul destroying when you've just lined up the perfect shot

what output format is DXtory giving you matt? Got my best results doing a 2 pass encode to h.264 via handbrake then uploading, didn't seem to take as much of the polish away from the recording.

I bought Mirillis Action for £20.

It allows me to use the H264 AMD encoder. It seems to help performance (slightly more than dxtory) and it gives a smaller file size. Hence i was able to record proper 1440P footage without a suffocating performance hit. The problem i have now pg is im uploading the file to youtube, its 16:30 long and file size of 2gb, but when i starting uploading straight after recording youtube said "Your videos will process faster if you encode into a streamable file format. Likely because i didn't encode it afterwards. However when i tried to do it the usual method via virtaudub it said the format (MP4) was not supported. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to recording, but im learning, albeit slowly. Jealous of shadowplay tbh.

Shadowplay is good, though even at a 50k bitrate I feel the codec compression takes a little gloss away from it. I'll try dig out some old knowledge on encoding as I did a fair bit years ago with x/h.264, what I do remember is VDub is junk, get VDubMOD and a good codec pack (something like CCCP) and if you can, try snag CoreAVC (Not free unless you look in the right places, but a far superior h.264 codec). CAVC also allows GPU decoding via CUDA or DXVA.

Besides that I'll need to see what YouTubes limits are, I get the feeling its not a fan of high bitrate HD video.

Right click one of your recordings (used with those settings) Properties>Details>Video>Total Bitrate and tell us what it says. Should give us an indication as to what bitrate settings its using.

Edit: sorry you're a lefty aren't you so it may be left click? :p

Around 18mbps then, not bad. What options do you have under frame rate? Can you set it to variable? If so it may give you a VBR as well as variable frame rate, making both higher in the process :)

Taken from a 50k shadowplay recording and ran through handbrake, just testing it via youtube now. :)

One of my videos took a few days to show anything above 360p...

Did a test video last night and all I can summarise is that we need something better then YT for hq video recording, made a super clean encode, crisp quality within their guidelines and it still looks naff at 1080.

If its happening at stock try a ddu sweep and fresh drivers, a few of us, especially on multi card setups have had some unexplainable errors from just a standard driver upgrade.

I reflashed my cards the other night and the drivers magically doubled the amount of cards I have giving a bsod as soon as sli was enabled :p

Time to scratch that itch, Premium content now downloading :(

Awesome sauce, pay £26 for premium now I get bf4.exe is not responding when I try start a round.

Got it it going, did a repair install and boom the 10gb worth of dlc I had just downloaded was corrupt. Re downloaded and now running, new metro is sexy but hc dom servers are already ruined with snipers, one team sits in one building, one team in the other and just trade shots. Need more servers with sniper caps, I'm not against them but it ruins the whole point of it being called 'battlefield' if 90% of the players are snipe campers.

I'll get some more solid bench results from Metro later, but my 780's hammered it, solid 98% usage, besides it constantly hitting the 200fps limit!
