***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Either power limit or temp limit, either way it sounds like a job for a skynet bios ;)

The skynet bios should give a static 3d clock (no boost), a higher power limit (mine is 130%) & no thermal chokes, so all in all it should run at the set speed/voltage all of the time in 3d applications.
 
Well, DICE are back at it!

Mouse problems are back again, the same one that cost me £40 on a new mouse at launch, works fine in menus etc... as soon as the game loads up, BANG nothing.

Thanks DICE, you just keep on giving and giving. *****.

Oh and when I press 'quit game' I MEAN QUIT ******* GAME!!!!!!! Not show me a black box with a blinking curser for 5mins!!!

I'm done, finishing how I started with BF4, without mouse input, nothings changed since I played it two days ago, system is exactly the same, no updates no nothing, yet this POS game just ups and decides "yeah, we'll give mouse input a rest today shall we?"

Just on at EA CS now, wonder which gems of excuses will come from 'Dave' or 'Susan' in Bangladesh tonight.
 
Just spoke to an EA rep, surprisingly polite and well written english :)

To Summarise DICE/EA know BF4 is a complete mess, they are also set to push back release dates of other DICE titles to get more people working on fixing BF4.

All complaints via EA support are being logged by 'higher management' which is in turn being submitted to the developer, the problems appear endless.
 
I'll be patiently waiting for titanfall, it might be published by ea, but the developers know a thing or two about making a game changing shooter :)

I did some reading up on the mouse bug, basically it can be any number of things, all of which lead back to poor development, the most comical one is that bf4.exe still thinks you're in the battlelog browser so won't register input. Seriously, you'd think one of the first things to do when developing a game would be to set I/O input up.

You never know humbug, the last few origin based betas have been fairly open, said I'll have an email before midnight on the 17th of feb to let me know either way. The only thing bugging me about titan fall is them locking up the source engine used, imagine the modding possibilities if it were open :)
 
Didn't respawn already say that textures were dumbed down in the alpha/beta to keep the file size low?

I hope the fps cap isn't a permanent thing.

Try the 14.1 betas but most have rolled back onto 13.11/13.12 due to one bug or another.

The laser wall thing may have always been there but its something I've just picked up on now I'm a sniper god :p
 
Do us a video of metro when you get chance matt, interested to see if the bottle neck at the two stairways are still present. Great map for 16-32 players, terrible on 40+ :p
 
Metro maketh the man in BF. This new metro has lots of new routes into B, its gonna be mint. Yet to try it out on 64 man though. They've also got rid of that horrible blue tint, now it looks 'proper bo' i tell thee.

Caspian, Firestorm and Oman all in the new map pack. Yet to try them though because im uploading this damn video for PG Tips.

New routes into b is what was needed and I'm glad to hear about, on bf3 you only had 3 points of entry from A and C, it made 64 player impossible as the first team to take B could just sit out the round punishing the floods of opposition gunning through one of those points.

If it looks decent I may pick it up in a few weeks to scratch that metro itch.
 
Sounds promising - no rush for the vid btw won't be able to watch it until tonight.

Now to wait for the no explosives metro servers to show up, ******* airburst loosers.
