***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

You mean not get shot.:D

Even if I could last that long my setup can not do 1440p.

Really? I assumed 1600p monitors could scale down like 1200p can do 1080p. Well i guess 1600p will have to do. :D

I get shot as well Kaap. If you get inside a tank and sit in the second seat you will do much better. Let someone else do the driving you just try to shoot infantry with the machine gun. Hop in a tank or LAV and press F2. :)

Neil can do 1440p on his but I have never be able to do 1440p on mine. I don't even get the option in BF4.

just do 1 minute runs but do like 10

then look at the avg min and max and see how accurate they are.

i had to laugh i just retweeted some of the people in charge of this game about 295gtx and how people with them cant play the game.

change the settings to low and medium that should fix it !

they cant even launch it to get to settings :p

no_1_dave, are you getting 30-55 frames per second on Ultra @ 1440p with a single card? If not, what graphics settings are you using?

Yea, tends to sit around 40, but with stuff going on it'll drop to 30. When up in the helicopter or on a roof with not a lot going on it'll go to 55. That's with a single card. All settings ultra, post AA off, MSAA 2x, no motion blur (hate motion blur) and fov at 90.

Looks like he's running Ultra @ 1440p with MSAA turned off - Link

30-55 FPS at those settings seems rather damn good on an i7-920 with 1 x 670.

Yea, decided 2x MSAA is better than post AA though so I swapped.

Good spot. I'd love to see his FPS at 1440p with x4aa and with the highest possible settings as a comparison to mine. :)

With x4 MSAA I was getting some texture pop in & the odd building popup in the distance. I think 4x MSAA is pushing the 2GB vram at this res.

My only problem is that even though SLI gives more fps it just stutters quite often & doesn't feel like the nice smooth gameplay you'd expect from 60fps gaming. 30fps with a single card is smoother than 60fps in SLI. I was thinking it was a CPU bottleneck because the cards are not at 100% when in SLI but now I've monitored CPU and only seen 80% max (HT is on), I am starting to think it maybe driver related.

Or it could be that 1 card is pre-overclocked & my other card is a bad clocker so it's stock. Not sure if 1 card running higher clocks could cause this, surely they should still be 100% usage. I will try downclocking the factory overclocked one to the same speed as the stock one & give it a go.

Frames: 22971 - Time: 300000ms - Avg: 76.570 - Min: 57 - Max: 123

This is my ultra preset run with the new 13.11 drivers, and im using windows 8 btw, i suggest EVERYONE installs windows 8 for optimal performance in BF4. 7970 @ 1300/1750 and 3930k @ 4.7.

I don't get any stuttering with my GTX 690s (maybe due to their hardware fix) so it could be a driver problem.

This only shows that BF4 REALLY is multithreaded, should shut the people preaching "HT Does nothing" for quadcore i7s.

Think a few of the people experiencing SLI problems after the patch are having bottleneck issues. SLI should be fine on the latest beta drivers.

Gah I need to get some proper monitors sorted :D

That's what I thought but my CPU is only at 80%
Surely if the CPU was holding SLI back the CPU would be at 100%..?

SLI does basically double the frame rate, the issue is it also causes stutter :(

You may get stutter when bottlenecking but if it's purely that it's probably Windows 7! They're looking at fixing that today IIRC

Oh and no not necessarily, generally high usage could be a sign too :) It's more of a tell tail if you look at your GPU usage over both cards :)
